Newborn Baby Photography Yorkshire - Hattie

As professional newborn baby photographers in Yorkshire, we were very excited to hear from Jill when she called to book a baby portrait session for her new baby daughter.

Jill and Paul brought Hattie into the studio when she was a week old which is a great time for new baby photographs as babies of this age still have the new baby look which is very quickly lost once they are a few days older.

New baby photography takes time and patience and eventually we were rewarded with some gorgeous images of a beautiful baby which we hope that her mum and dad will love.

To book a new baby photo session in our Castleford studio, call us on 01977 730159.  We offer a relaxed, friendly and personal service.

Family Photography West Yorkshire - Katie, Andrew and Georgie

As professional family photographers in West Yorkshire, we often photograph parents with their children in our Castleford portrait studio.  Georgie is a year old, so we expected this family portrait session to be a lot of fun and very lively, which it certainly was once cute Georgie got over her shyness.

When Katie, Andrew and Georgie arrived, Georgie played shy and cuddled up to mum, refusing to let go.  Because we don't set rigid times for our portrait sessions and because we accept no more than two a day, we could relax and wait until Georgie came out of her shell.  This definitely paid off because we got lots of fabulous images, not only children's portraits of Georgie on her own but family photographs of all three together which was important to Katie as she said that she is never in photographs as she's always the one taking them.

To book a Castleford children's portrait or a family photo session, please call Janet on 01977 731059.  A session in our studio costs just £35.

Boudoir Photography Wakefield, West Yorkshire - Truley

As professional boudoir photographers in Wakefield, we really enjoy creating beautiful images for our clients and when Truley expressed an interest in having a boudoir photography session, we were delighted to oblige.

Because we offer a luxury service, our boudoir photography sessions in our Castleford studio are not time limited.  This means that our clients are treated to a friendly, relaxed and personal service without being rushed or having to watch the clock.

Truley brought in a selection of gorgeous underwear and gave us the freedom to play around with some different ideas and poses.  We finished with loads of fabulous images and several different looks.  Truley was brilliant to work with and here are just a few of our favourites from her session.

To book a boudoir photo shoot for yourself or as a gift for someone special, please call Janet on 01977 730159.  We are happy to arrange, on request, for a professional make-up artist to come in and make you feel even more pampered and beautiful before the photography begins.

Wedding Photographer Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel - Samantha & Davy's Wedding Photography

Samantha and Davy chose the beautiful setting of Rogerthorpe Manor in Badsworth to tie the knot and on the drive over, it looked as if we would be dodging the showers for most of the day.  As luck would have it, it stayed dry and overcast nearly all day - perfect wedding photography weather, albeit a bit chilly for the girls!

The girls' bedroom was a hive of activity with hair and make-up in full swing and several little ones, including Sam and Davy's daughters, Mia and Lilia, running around and full of beans, getting excited about the day ahead.

We had fingers crossed that the weather would hold out when it mattered and the light was just perfect when we met up with the boys outside.

As recommended wedding photographers for Rogerthorpe Manor, we know that the Pontefract registrars are always really great and very accommodating when it comes to allowing photographs to be taken during the ceremony and this is something we appreciate a lot.

After the ceremony and with the weather still dry, we got all the main group photographs done outside, confetti photos, fun photographs with the bridal party and a good few images of the new Mr and Mrs Holtom before the call through for the wedding breakfast.

By the time dinner was over, the clouds were coming in and rain was definitely looming so Sam and Davy joined us on the rear lawn for some photographs together before returning to spend time with their guests.

After covering the first dance in which the couple were joined by their younger daughter, Lilia, and staying a while longer to photograph Sam dancing with the little girls, it was time to leave everyone to party.

Sam and Davy are going to be spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing the images for their Italian storybook album.  A big thank you for allowing us to capture your celebrations.  We had a brilliant time!

Boudoir Photography West Yorkshire - Steph's Boudoir Photographs

We're having a great time expanding and promoting our West Yorkshire boudoir photography business and it's fabulous when we have the chance to work with someone who is really enthusiastic about trying out some different ideas.

As professional boudoir photographers in Castleford, we are always buying different props to let our clients use in their images and we were blown away by the gorgeous feather mask when we first saw it.  We just had to have it and we were very excited when Steph agreed to model it during her boudoir  photo session.

Steph's make-up was professionally applied and this is something which can make a huge difference so now we are delighted to be working closely with a professional make-up artist.  Steph's gorgeous anyway but a professional make-over is a brilliant way to feel pampered before the photography begins.

A boudoir photo session in our Castleford studio is an absolute bargain and our make-up artist is offering her services at a reduced rate for a limited period of time.

Call us now to book your boudoir photography session on 01977 730159.

Master Photographers Association Yorkshire & North East Region Print Competition 2012

The Yorkshire and North East Region of the Master Photographers Association held their annual print competition at the Bridge Inn, Whitwood last night.  Judges Len Dance and Kevin Pengelly said that the number of entries and the standard of work they had seen was extremely high and that their job had been very difficult but very enjoyable.

We are over the moon because Alex scooped a total of six awards in three different categories, including the title Master Photographers Association Yorkshire & North East Region Classical Wedding Photographer of the Year 2012.  This particular award always attracts a lot of entries and is the one that wedding photographers really want to win.

Rogerthorpe Manor Wedding Photographers | Lisa & David's Wedding Photography

As recommended Rogerthorpe Manor wedding photographers, it's always a pleasure to work at this lovely venue and we were delighted when Wayne told his friends, Lisa and Dave about us and our work.  Lisa and Dave came to see us and booked us on the spot which made our day.

The morning of the wedding, we arrived at the couple's house where their son, Jack, was full of energy and running round without a care in the world.  The ladies were under a bit more pressure, having their hair styled and getting ready for the wedding.

We arrived at Rogerthorpe Manor to meet the boys.  Dave, Wayne and Darren have been close friends for many years and so it was a given that there would be two best men. Wayne had another job as well as that of best man.  He runs Class Laser Clay and set this up as a gift for Dave and Lisa.  If you fancy entertainment with a difference that's great fun and safe for everyone, we can highly recommend it.

As unpredictable as the April weather is, the hailstones which fell as we were waiting for Lisa and her dad to arrive were pretty unexpected and pretty unwelcome too.  Thankfully, they stopped a couple of minutes before our bride's car appeared.  Typically, it stayed dry throughout the civil ceremony in the Lawrence Suite and then decided to throw some light drizzle our way just as we started the group photos. Lisa and Dave took it all in their stride and thanks to the assistance of Wayne and Darren who held umbrellas over each assembled group, whipped them away just before each shot was taken and then put them back again, we got all the group photographs in the can in very little time and without the need to work indoors.  Guys, you were stars!

Lisa and Dave were fantastic to work with and were up for trying anything including some fun photographs with their best men and Lisa's sisters, Sharon and Natalie, who were bridesmaids and luckily, by now, the rain had stopped allowing us to ditch the brollies and use some of the backdrops at Rogerthorpe Manor for photographs of the couple together before the wedding breakfast.  The Lawrence Suite had been beautifully and expertly dressed by Stacey Benson of Chantilly Weddings.  Stacey's a lovely lady, does a brilliant job and her services are highly recommended.

After dinner, the sun came out, it was warm and dry and we captured some reportage photographs as the children (and some adult size kids!) played on the lawn before we borrowed the new Mr and Mrs Bridges for some photographs together and enjoyed our favourite time on a wedding day - creative, romantic, relaxed couple photography time.

A first dance and exploding balloon was the finale to their big day but we couldn't leave without taking a few evening photographs.  Lisa and Dave, your wedding day was fantastic.  Thank you for asking us to share it with you and for looking after us so well.
