Baby Photography Castleford | Jasmine's First Birthday Photo Shoot

As professional baby photographers in Castleford, we enjoy working with new people regularly but we also feel very flattered and extremely lucky when clients come back to us time and time again for their photographs.

We provide a top quality service, the products we offer are the best we can find and we accept only two portrait sessions a day so that our clients have plenty of time and we have the best chance of getting them photographs that they will be delighted with.

We first met Gemma over a year ago when she was expecting Jasmine.  We've done a maternity photo session, a new-born portrait shoot when Jasmine was five days old and still known as "Peanut", a baby photography session for her at around seven months old when she was sitting solidly and now, her 1st birthday portrait session. The past year has flown by and it's lovely to see her growing into a lovely little girl!

Gemma and her husband Paul's favourite images from the three sessions from new baby to one year old will be designed into a personalised baby book as a keepsake for Jasmine to treasure throughout her life and to show her just how precious she is to her mum and dad.

Gemma brought along several changes of clothes for Jasmine, along with lots of props to play with including balloons, wooden blocks, a stack of presents wrapped in bright purple paper and a box of cupcakes which we decided would be best left until the end of the session when we let Jasmine loose on a cupcake resulting in a great sequence of smash the cake baby photographs.

If you would like some professional baby photographs, our session fee is just £35. Our diary is getting full in the run up to Christmas so if you would like photographs to give as gifts, please call us as soon as possible on 01977 730159 to book your appointment.

New Baby Photographers West Yorkshire | Ashton

Leanne and Mikey, Ashton's parents, came to us for a maternity photo session following a recommendation from a fellow professional photographer to one of Leanne and Mikey's friends who wanted to buy them a gift voucher to cover both a pregnancy portrait shoot and a newborn photo session.

As professional new baby photographers in Castleford, West Yorkshire, we love it when mums and dads to be come to us for a portrait before their baby arrives.  Then we wait excitedly for the news that they are parents and we get a date booked as quickly as possible for their baby's first professional portrait.

The best time for professional new-born photographs is as soon as possible after the baby is born and certainly before ten days.  Ashton was the perfect age at around a week old and this is our favourite image from his new baby portrait session.

A studio portrait session for your baby costs just £35 to include plenty of time for you to relax, feed and change your little one and wait patiently for them to go to sleep so that we can get gorgeous photos like this one.  We have lots of different options for presenting your photographs, from prints in folders which make great gifts for relatives, to framed prints, personalised art prints and montages.

For more information please call Janet on 01977 730159.  We would also appreciate a Like on Facebook - thank you.

Cedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa York Wedding Photographer | Helen and Daniel

We have visited Helen and Daniel's wedding venue in past but this was the first time we'd been wedding photographers at the Cedar Court Grand Hotel and Spa, York. This gorgeous hotel doesn't have any grounds to speak of but the stunning interior is a delight, especially if, like us, you enjoy working with beautiful architecture.

We arrived at Helen's parents' house in Woodthorpe, York where we were greeted by her dad, Stephen.  The girls weren't back from having hair and make-up done yet but whilst we waited it gave us time to get set up in a lovely bright bedroom ready to photograph Helen's dress, jewellery, perfume and a spectacular pair of sparkly Jimmy Choos.

Helen's dress was perfect for her and perfect for the venue - elegant and sophisticated - and we were lucky because she was as good as her word and in her dress in time for us to take some photographs with her parents, sister and bridesmaids before we left to meet Daniel at the hotel.

We knew that for the majority of the day we would be working indoors, but it was nice to get some photographs of the boys together and Daniel with his close family outside at the hotel entrance and also on the terrace before he was called upstairs to meet with the registrars and kept there to avoid him seeing Helen before he should.

The civil ceremony was conducted in the Boardroom which is a lovely room with tall windows, velvet drapes and spectacular chandeliers made of gold colour glass chain links.  We decided to take the family group photos upstairs immediately after the ceremony before everyone made their way downstairs to enjoy the drinks reception. When everyone is close by it really makes a huge difference to how quickly we can cover the group shots and we had them done faster than we expected, leaving us with Helen and Daniel and their couple photos.

Such a great couple to spend time with, their wedding photographs were really important to them and they were more than happy to give our ideas a try.  At our meeting a few weeks beforehand, we'd picked out some locations to use before the receiving line started, with a couple more earmarked for after the wedding breakfast.  We like to work this way, dividing the couple and bridal photography into two sessions as it gives the bride and groom some time to spend with their guests and gives us time to get a variety of different images for them, be creative and keep the photography sessions fun, relaxed and interesting.

When we returned to the Boardroom to photograph it set up for the wedding breakfast, it did look amazing in navy blue and a champagne theme.  Because it wasn't quite ready at the scheduled time, everyone sat a little later than planned and because of this we did think that Helen and Daniel might not want a second couple session later, as we knew their evening guests would be starting to arrive by the time the wedding breakfast ended. However, we were delighted when they came out after dinner and were still excited about having photographs taken in the locations we'd discussed - our favourite which was a purple wall and theirs which was a mirrored lift - and we are very pleased with the results.

Once the Boardroom had been turned around for the evening party, we covered the first dance and after capturing some images of the band, we said our goodbyes to Helen and Daniel.

Thank you Mr and Mrs Mackley for being such stars to work with.  Have a fabulous honeymoon and we look forward to seeing you on your return.

Wedding Photographers Rogerthorpe Manor | Michelle and Martin

Michelle and Martin booked us as their Rogerthorpe Manor wedding photographers less than three weeks before their big day after we were recommended to them by a mutual friend.  We've been booked at fairly short notice before but never as close to the big day as this!

We hit it off straight away with this lovely couple and we all breathed as huge sigh of relief when they booked - us because we really wanted to share Michelle and Martin's wedding day and make sure that they had some great photographs to remember it by and them because it was uncertain as to whether they would have a wedding photographer at all. We hear so many sad stories from couples who are disappointed with their wedding photos and regret not booking a professional wedding photographer but everything turned out well in the end for Michelle and Martin.

Although the weather looked decidedly dodgy, having thrown it down with rain at least twice before we left home for Rogerthorpe Manor, it held off, allowing us to have a laugh with the boys outside on the main lawn before waiting at the bottom of the stairs for Michelle to make her entrance with her brother, Michael, who had the privilege of giving her away.  Michelle's brothers played a big part in this wedding - Philip as best man to Martin and Michael escorting his sister into the ceremony in the Cawthorne Suite. Someone else who deserves a mention is Liam, the couple's son, who might have assumed that being in the photographs would be very boring  but we did our best to prove otherwise and we think he had a good time.

After the ceremony and with the rain ever threatening, we grabbed a few minutes to photograph Michelle on her own and the couple together before starting the groups. Everyone was fantastic and because Michelle and Martin had kept their group shot list to a small number, we had them done quickly and this left a plenty of time for a some more relaxed couple photographs around the grounds.

Michelle and Martin were such a great couple to work with and although Michelle had been very apprehensive about being photographed, she said that she felt completely at ease with us and this, of course, made for great photographs.

Congratulations from both of us and a huge thank you for booking us to photograph your special day, for making us feel very much appreciated and for the wonderful message you sent us the day after your wedding.
