Engagement Portrait Photography West Yorkshire | Alison and Mark

          

Alison and Mark opted for a studio engagement portrait session ahead of their wedding at Nostell Priory in July.  One thing about taking pre-wedding photographs in the studio is it doesn't matter what the weather's doing outside!  We spent some time working through some different ideas starting with the more classical style portrait and ending the session with a few shots in a contemporary and relaxed style.  The second image is the one Alison and Mark chose.  This will be printed and after their wedding, framed with a signature mount which their guests will sign.  A lovely alternative to a guest book, a wedding pre-shoot and signature mount or signing board as they are sometimes called, is becoming very popular with couples and the pre-wedding shoot helps them to relax in front of the camera and have some fun.  Alison and Mark love our signature style artistic photographs and we can't wait to share their big day!

 

Engagement Portraits Yorkshire | Amanda and Matthew

                          

We recently met up with Amanda and Matthew to chat about their plans for their big day and their ideas for their photography.  They will marry in Great Ouseburn, York and celebrate afterwards at Syningthwaite Priory near Wetherby, both new venues for us.  It was lovely to meet the couple and check out both the church and their fabulous reception venue which is surrounded by open countryside - exactly what Amanda and Matthew were looking for as they both come from a farming background.  It was very, very windy on the day (is it really May?) but this didn't put the couple off having some photographs taken together.  As engagement photographers in Yorkshire, we know that a wedding pre-shoot is a great way to get to know each other better, explain how to pose but still look relaxed and just have some fun.  We all really enjoyed ourselves and we look forward to this amazing couple's wedding day in June.

The thick snow and freezing temperatures on Chloe and Sam's wedding day on 4 December last year are hard to imagine with the beautiful, warm and sunny weather we've been enjoying during April but it was so nice to receive a note from Chloe's mum recently.

Maternity Photography West Yorkshire - Kate and Lee

 

As Bagden Hall wedding photographers, we captured Kate and Lee's wedding almost two years ago when they married at the beautiful All Hallows' church in Almondbury, Huddersfield and then celebrated with family and friends at Bagden Hall, a stunning venue where we love working.  A lot has happened in Kate and Lee's lives during the past two years and one of those things is the eagerly awaited arrival of their baby daughter some time in the next couple of weeks.  They are very excited about becoming parents and what fantastic parents they will be.  Kate and Lee booked our bump to baby package which includes three separate photo shoots with the best images being combined with artistic graphic effects and then printed and bound into a coffee table book.  The first session - the maternity shoot - took place recently and as Kate is expecting a girl, it seemed appropriate that a bit of girly pink should be incorporated into some of the images.  It will be a few months yet before we can design Kate and Lee's bump to baby album, but this session was such fun and we enjoy Kate and Lee's company so much that we are really looking forward to welcoming them back for the new born baby photographs of their precious daughter, which definitely won't be far off.

Wedding Photographer West Yorkshire - Lisa's Bridal Portraits

            

Sometimes everything comes together to help you get images which you've imagined for quite a long time and often things conspire against you, preventing it from happening and it's usually the weather which is the culprit!  As creative West Yorkshire wedding photographers we were over the moon today when everything fell into place to enable us to get the bridal portraits we, and more importantly Lisa, wanted - our stunning bride, perfect warm weather, a blue sky and the gorgeous yellow rape in full flower, something you only get for a couple of weeks a year.  Lisa is beautiful and a natural when it comes to posing and was quite happy standing in the middle of a rape field in her wedding dress.  This image is one of our favourites.
