So we say goodbye to 2012. It been a challenging year weather wise with summer being just a few short weeks early in the year and then an odd nice day here and there. It's been great when those odd nice days have happened to coincide with weddings! Couples inevitably ask what we will do if the weather is bad but this year really has proven that a total wash out doesn't happen all that often, even given the volume of wet stuff we've seen this year. We've had just one day when it didn't let up until the early evening. Rainy weddings are more difficult to photograph but this is where skill and experience of your photographer, if you have chosen well, really comes into its own and from the bride and groom, enthusiasm, a happy attitude and a determination that the weather will not spoil the day is vital. With these things, great images still happen.
We've worked with some amazing couples who have put so much effort into helping us get outstanding images for them. Whilst we do capture many special moments in a reportage style throughout the day, our signature style artistic images take a little time and effort. We love being a part of a wedding day and we enjoy having fun with the couple and their guests but we always look forward to the time we spend alone with the bride and groom. The images we create together during this time are often the ones with the "wow" factor.
We'd like to thank each and every one of our fabulous brides and grooms for choosing us over any other photographer to share their most special day and it's our absolute privilege to have been with them from the time we arrive to capture the bride getting ready to the time we leave after the first dance or even the fireworks.
