Wedding Photographer Oulton Hall | Cheryl and Stuart's Wedding

Our 2015 season got off to a brilliant start with Cheryl and Stuart's big day.  As recommended wedding photographers for Oulton Hall we always enjoy working at this spectacular venue, which offers so many opportunities for lovely photographs, both inside and out.  It's also one of very few venues where, if the weather isn't too kind, you can do absolutely everything indoors.  At this time of year you do expect it to be on the cold side but we were so lucky because considering this was February, we couldn't have wished for a more perfect day.  

Cheryl looked amazing in her beautiful Sofia Tolli gown which suited her perfectly, and after the civil ceremony in the Repton Room, the new Mr and Mrs Clark and their guests enjoyed champagne and braved the chill outside for a few group photographs before everyone else hurried back into the warmth of Oulton Hall and we enjoyed some time photographing the couple and making the most of the daylight and the grounds.  Cheryl and Stuart returned to the reception, Hannah sang and played guitar, and we captured some images of the Repton Room so beautifully dressed for the wedding breakfast that it brought tears to Cheryl's eyes as soon as she walked in.  

Our bride had given us some special requests for her Oulton Hall wedding photographs as she was blown away by some images she'd seen in our albums.  One image in particular is quite a challenge but with careful planning, a very enthusiastic bride, extremely helpful staff and wedding co-ordinator, and invaluable assistance from a brand new member of our team, Tor, everything came together for us to create some gorgeous bridal portraits in the main lounge and some romantic, twilight photographs of the couple on the lawn before everyone made their way up to the Claret Jug for the evening celebrations and Cheryl and Stuart's first dance, complete with confetti canons.

A huge thank you for allowing us to share your beautiful Oulton Hall wedding.  You guys were such a pleasure to work with and we had a wonderful day.  We hope you love this preview of just of few of your images and we look forward to showing you the full collection when you come back from honeymoon.

Baby Photography Castleford | Erin's Baby Portraits

Much of our Castleford new baby photography work comes through personal recommendation from our lovely clients and this was the case when Lauren and Ciaran, Erin's mum and dad, saw a photograph from their friends' baby boy, Oscar's recent newborn photo session.

Lauren got in touch with us to enquire about a session for Erin but she was concerned that at four weeks' old, Erin was well past the new baby stage.  We never want to disappoint our clients so we arranged for the family to come into the studio, factored in plenty of time, and promised to do our very best to get some beautiful images of Erin, regardless of how long it took.  

As we expected, Erin refused to go to sleep curled up on her tummy so we resorted to different ideas, one of which resulted in the gorgeous image here.  We used a fur bowl stuffer in some of the photos but we loved Erin's own beautiful blanket in rich, warm colours, which perfectly complimented the wooden bowl and flooring.  Erin obviously approved too because after feeds, cuddles, nappy changes and bucket loads of patience, she finally drifted off to sleep.  

A four-hour session later and this image is the one her proud parents have chosen.  A Studio Box Framed print is being hand-made for them and it will take pride of place in their home.
