Waterton Park Hotel Wedding Photographers for Lindsey and Gav

We're are very happy to have earned an excellent reputation and be recommended wedding photographers for Waterton Park Hotel, as well as other venues in our area, and we were delighted when Lindsey and Gav decided that we were the photographers to capture their special day at one of our favourite places.  The girls got ready in one of the rooms upstairs and the atmosphere during the bridal prep was one of fun and banter and we enjoyed the giggles as we photographed make-up being applied, hair being twirled and some beautiful details, including Lindsey's bouquet of peonies, roses and sweet peas, in vibrant coral, hot pink and ivory.  We left the girls and crossed over the bridge to start the Walton Hall wedding photography with Gav and the lads and they had plenty of banter of their own to keep us entertained during the groom's portrait session.  Lindsey was in her stunning dress when we got back to her room and the nerves had really started to kick in but once she was beside her husband to be the nerves gave way to smiles and joy as vows were made and rings exchanged.  The couple were showered with confetti and then the guests enjoyed the pretty lakeside surroundings whilst we photographed the groups.  Early ceremonies in summer mean a longer and more relaxed day for everyone and for us it means being able to do some couple photos and bridal portraits before the wedding breakfast and some afterwards, still with plenty of daylight.  Also, once dinner is done it's a good time to have some fun with the bridal party, as nerves over speeches are gone and everyone has loosened up.  Lindsey, Gav and their attendants were fantastic and very much up for a laugh.  Once the fun shots were in the can our bride was determined to spend plenty of time with us to get as many photographs as possible and we got some lovely portraits.  After the first dance we set up for the twilight photos Lindsey really wanted. This did mean we had to interrupt Gav who was busting some moves on the dance floor but Lindsey knew that these photos are time critical and some words from his wife brought Gav outside!  Sorry for interrupting your dancing Gav but we hope that when you see the images you will think it was worth it :) Thank you for booking us to share your celebrations and huge congratulations from both of us on becoming Mr and Mrs Smith!

Wedding Photography at Bagden Hall for Amy and Chris

It was wonderful to be chosen by Amy and Chris as their Bagden Hall wedding photographers and for the second Saturday in a row we were joined by Andrew and Gail Charlton of A & G Productions who expertly captured the day on video.  We've really enjoyed getting to know Amy and Chris during the run up to their wedding.  Amy kept in touch with us throughout the planning and we even got to meet Ozzy, the couple's black labrador, when we met up for our final meeting to discuss plans for the day.  He also made a brief appearance late afternoon on the big day, to have his photographs taken with his mum and dad.  After covering bridal preparations we headed off to the church to meet Chris and his attendants and we'd just managed to get as far as the groom's portraits when the wet stuff made an unwelcome appearance.  Chris didn't let it bother him too much but it certainly bothered Amy when the rain got heavier and it absolutely belted it down just as she arrived!  It continued to rain throughout the service and as the newly weds exited the church, but the sun came out as they reached the gate to a volley of confetti, it stayed out as we started the Bagden Hall wedding photography and then it chucked it down again just as we started the family groups, forcing us to work inside.  Thankfully, things looked up later in the day and we breathed a massive sigh of relief!  Amy and Chris are such a lovely couple and we really wanted to do the best for them and make the most of the locations that Bagden Hall has to offer, without needing to get the brollies out!  After the wedding breakfast and speeches we got some gorgeous images of the two of them and of our beautiful bride in her stunning dress and featuring a spectacular bouquet from Serendipity. The flowers were a big part of Mr and Mrs Colley's wedding and Sally, the florist, really had gone to town on them, including a stunning display over the fireplace, which we featured in some of Amy and Chris's wedding photos. It was a pleasure to be part of this wedding, in the company of such a great couple, and surrounded by such friendly guests. Amy and Chris have chosen a large Italian storybook album and it's going to be absolutely amazing! Thank you very much for allowing us to share your wedding day and congratulations on your marriage guys.

Wedding Photography at Hazlewood Castle for Kate and Chris

Kate was very organised, booking us as her Hazlewood Castle wedding photographers almost two years before the big day, which was wise because as a Saturday in June, it was one of those dates that's extremely popular.  We hit it off big time with Kate and Chris, who were more than complimentary about our work, and we were very excited about photographing their wedding at their gorgeous venue where we are recommended.  It was lovely to work again with Andrew and Gail from A & G Productions, and along with Gail, we spent some time with the girls as they got ready.  There were some beautiful details to capture, including a spectacular 1920's style beaded gown, a pair blue and silver shoes and the biggest bouquet of roses and hydrangeas we have ever seen.  It was truly stunning (and very heavy!)  Kate's had mentioned that her dress would be "different" and it really did have the Wow! factor - a heavily beaded gown reminiscent of the Art Deco period and in keeping with the Downton Abbey theme the couple had chosen.  We started the wedding photography at Hazlewood Castle with Chris and the boys when they arrived at the venue in a vintage bus.  They looked so smart in dinner suits, dress shirts and bow ties.  A beaming Kate and her proud dad arrived in style, expertly chauffeured by Robert of Rolls Hire Vintage Limousines.  The couple tied the knot in a civil ceremony in the Victoria Room whilst the majority of guests took their seats in the chapel ready for the blessing that followed, conducted by the Rev Ian Walton, in his own unique and humorous style.  The challenging weather of this "summer" just about behaved itself when it mattered, allowing everyone to enjoy the the Champagne reception and us to take photos outside, before we returned indoors to photograph the Great Hall.  This great couple were so enthusiastic about their photographs and we had such a brilliant day with them.  Kate was something of a natural in front of the camera and she and Chris were a joy to photograph.  Hazlewood Castle has so much to offer, especially when the weather's good.  The architecture really appeals to us and suits our style.  We were excited about getting back outside after the wedding breakfast but we just had to photograph Kate sitting in the window in the Victoria Room first.  What a beautiful album Mr and Mrs France are going to have.  A massive thank you for inviting us to be part of your gorgeous wedding!
