Knottingley Wedding Photography for Emma and Richard

Emma and Richard were put in touch with us by another photographer who very kindly recommended us as he was booked for a wedding on their date.  We were really happy when they booked us for their wedding photography at St Botolph's Church, Knottingley, and as the couple live only a short walk from the church, that's exactly what Emma had planned, a walk to the church with her dad and her huge entourage of ten bridesmaids and three flower girls!  We started at the house as the girls got ready and Emma was very chilled out and relaxed.  She was ready well before we had to leave to meet the boys and this meant the chance of some lovely bridal portraits in the garden.  Rich was obviously keen to score some serious points with his new bride and a pair of gold Jimmy Choos did the trick!  We stopped off at the Steam Packet pub where we knew Rich and the boys would be starting their celebrations with a pint or two ahead of the ceremony, before we set off to the church for a few groom portraits and a chat with the vicar.  A very loud rendition of "Going to the chapel and we're gonna get married" heralded Emma, her dad and the bridesmaids' arrival at the church.  This enthusiasm carried throughout the ceremony with the best hymn singing we've ever heard and even the vicar looked suitably impressed!  After a volley of confetti we left to start the wedding photography at Holmfield Plant Centre, Ferrybridge where a Papakata Tipi had been set up for the reception.  This was a relaxed and informal wedding full of fun and laughter and loads to entertain the guests, delicious food provided by Farmer Copley, photo booth props, a pork pie cake, a live band, an ice cream van, cigars, flat caps, a cartwheeling flower girl, a crazy bridal party and perfect weather.  Thank you Emma and Rich, the new Mr and Mrs Briggs, for allowing us to share your big day.

Waterton Park Hotel Wedding Photographers for Abbey and Adam

With two weddings already in our diary for that weekend, Abbey and Adam secured our services for their Waterton Park Hotel wedding photography and made it a hat trick of three weddings in three days for us, the second of four such weekends this year.  The couple had been let down by the photographer they had originally booked and we were over the moon to be available to step in for them, and what a pleasure it was to photograph such a gorgeous wedding and such a beautiful couple.  Abbey got ready with her girls in the hotel, whilst Adam got suited and booted well away from the girls, on the island side. Two photographers makes such a difference to the coverage of a wedding and once Abbey's stunning dress and accessories had been photographed, Janet stayed with her to capture make-up shots and her reactions as she was presented with Adam's gift of a pair of Louboutin shoes, whilst Alex hot-footed it over the bridge to check in with the groom, who'd definitely scored some major brownie points with such a fabulous wedding present to his bride.  We both joined the boys for their photographs outside and they all looked very dapper in their tweed suits and bow ties.  Abbey was getting into her dress when we arrived back at the hotel for those final photos before the ceremony when the nerves are really starting to kick in.  As usual the Wakefield registrars were brilliant and did everything they could to allow us to capture the civil ceremony and get the best photos for the couple. Abbey and Adam couldn't have wished for better weather and once rings had been exchanged and confetti had been thrown, it was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves on the island and soaking up this spectacular location before the wedding breakfast.  With a stunning couple, lovely guests, perfect weather, long daylight hours and a gorgeous location, what more could a Walton Hall wedding photographer wish for? Thank you so much Mr and Mrs Murgatroyd for trusting us and for allowing us the pleasure of sharing your gorgeous wedding day.  We had such a good time and we can't wait to see your images come together in what will be an amazing storybook album.
