Today Julie and Martin tied the knot at St Nicholas' church in Upper Cumberworth near Huddersfield. Julie wore a stunning cream gown with beautiful beading and carried a bouquet of roses in the most gorgeous colours. She arrived in style in a champagne coloured Rolls Royce which is very special indeed - it's Martin's pride and joy, as he owns and runs a hire car company - Armour Classic Cars http://www.armourclassiccars.co.uk/ - so he knows a thing or two about chauffeuring brides on their wedding days. Not today though - that privilege went to Paul, Julie's brother. After the ceremony, we had the pleasure of returning to Bagden Hall in Scissett for Julie and Martin's reception. On arrival, the car shots came first - a must have for Martin! After the wedding breakfast and speeches, we made the most of the lovely evening light for some fun shots with the bridal party, some romantic couple shots and a few artistic bridal portraits. Thank you Julie and Martin for choosing us to capture your special day - it was wonderful to be invited to share it with you.

Kate and Lee's wedding at All Hallows' church, Almondbury and Bagden Hall - 13 June 2009
Kate's day started bright and early with preparations at Bagden Hall in Scissett. We were greeted with much activity as Kate and her five bridemaids were all getting ready in the same room! On arrival at All Hallows Church in Almondbury near Huddersfield, we met up with Lee and the guys for their photographs. We were then welcomed by a friendly lady vicar with a great sense of humour who very kindly allowed us to photograph Kate and Lee's wedding ceremony. Our sincere thanks go to her on Kate and Lee's behalf. Kate looked gorgeous in the most stunning fairytale bridal gown! After the ceremony, congratulations, champagne and confetti, the couple and their guests made their way to Bagden Hall for the reception and wedding breakfast. The sun shone all day long. After the speeches, we were able to spend some time with Kate and Lee in the grounds, creating some amazing images for them. By this time, the harsh shadows and strong sunlight had faded to leave us with a lovely, soft, golden light. Thank you Kate and Lee for inviting us to share your special day. Have a fantastic honeymoon and we look forward to seeing you when you get home.

Master Photographers Association Print Competition - 8 June 2009
The Master Photographers Association held their annual print competition and award ceremony on Monday, 8 June 2009. The competition was judged to a very high standard by John Parris FMPA and there were 229 entries into the various categories. The Classical Wedding category always attracts one of the highest numbers of entries and it is very difficult to secure an award in this particular category as competition is always fierce. Therefore, Janet was delighted to win a Merit award in the Classical Wedding category. John described the image as a great capture with fantastic expressions showing everyone having a good time. Our thanks must go to Kathryn and Stephen Boyes, the couple in the image, for choosing us as their photographers and for being such a joy to work with. Kathryn's beautiful smile shone all day long and we had a wonderful day with her, Stephen and their family and friends.

Jen and Rob's wedding at Danby Castle - 30 May 2009
Jen and Rob chose the picturesque and unusual setting of Danby Castle near Whitby for their wedding celebrations which they shared with friends and family from around the world. Jen's beautiful white bridal gown hid a secret - a pair of gorgeous satin boots in a stunning teal colour which just begged to be shown off! Following the delicious hog roast wedding breakfast, the couple and guests enjoyed dancing to a ceilidh band in the barn. Thank you Jen and Rob for inviting us to share your wedding day.
