Engagement portrait session with Rachel and Scott

It was such a pleasure to welcome Rachel and Scott to our studio recently for their engagement session.  We are the wedding photographers for this lovely couple when they marry next month at Hollins Hall in Baildon, Shipley and we are so excited about sharing their special day because they are such a pleasure to be around.

Rachel and Scott had no particular preferences with regard to their engagement sesssion.  They didn't mind what we did so we had a lot of fun with them trying out different ideas and styles.  We like this stunning black and white image.

We recently took delivery of a fabulous red contemporary chair and we used this to give a modern, fashion feel to some of the couple's images. 

These are just two of the amazing photographs we took during the session and we can't wait to show Rachel and Scott the rest of them.  A very enjoyable session, an amazing couple and some really great photographs!

We can't wait for your wedding day because know we'll have an absolute blast! 

Master Photographers Association Yorkshire Region Print Competition

Photography Awards

The Master Photographers Association Yorkshire Region held their annual print competition at the Bridge Inn, Whitwood on Monday, 10 May 2010.  The competition attracted just short of 350 entries from some of Yorkshire's most talented, full time, professional photographers.  Desi Fontaine FMPA travelled all the way from London to judge the competition and she commented on how high the standard was.  She said that she found the experience of judging such a large number of entries very enjoyable and rewarding.

Newly married Becky Hammond, the beautiful lady in the winning photograph wrote "Hi Alex and Janet, just wanted to say how pleased I am for you on winning your awards.  You deserve the recognition for your constant hard work!  Well done and congratulations.  So happy for you!"

Wedding Photographer Leeds

Charlotte and Christopher's wedding at Leeds Town Hall and the Marriott Hotel

As Leeds wedding photographers, it was our pleasure to join Charlotte and Christopher as they married at Leeds Town Hall and celebrated afterwards at the Marriott Hotel in Leeds. 

Our first stop of the day was at the couple's home where we were met by a very cheerful and relaxed Charlotte, accompanied by an equally chilled out bridesmaid, Jackie.  With the photographs of Charlotte's beautiful dress, accessories and flowers taken, we left the girls to get ready and set off for the Marriott Hotel in the centre of Leeds to meet Chris.  We joined him and best man Mark and walked to the Town Hall, stopping off enroute to make the most of the interesting backdrops which Leeds has to offer.

Following the ceremony, we took care of the group photographs before Charlotte and Chris set off in their car, whilst the guests, including us, hopped onto a red London bus, to be transported to the Marriott for the reception.

A lovely thing to do - not only did Charlotte take Chris's surname of Bell, he took Charlotte's surname of Holgate.  Congratulations Mr and Mrs Holgate-Bell!

Someone thought the speeches were hilarious!
