Hazlewood Castle Weddings | Wedding Photography Hazlewood Castle for Victoria & Jon

Our second wedding of the Easter weekend and with bridal preps in Horsforth, groom preps in Yeadon and a very early ceremony meant a very early start to Victoria and Jon's Hazlewood Castle wedding photography but getting up at the crack of dawn was well worth it!

We arrived at Victoria's parents' lovely house where we were made very welcome, the girls were getting ready and there was a brilliant atmosphere.  Even Victoria's dad's announcement that it was throwing it down outside did nothing to dampen anyone's spirits.

Our second port of call was the Premier Inn, Leeds and Bradford airport, where we were met by one of Jon's best men who very kindly showed us the way to the room where our groom was getting ready.  After some shots of Jon putting the finishing touches to his outfit, we set off just ahead of the boys so that we could arrive at Hazlewood Castle before they did.  Jon wasn't too far behind and by now, the rain had stopped.

Victoria arrived in a fabulous car just before the civil ceremony was due to start at 11.30 am in the Old Dining Room.  This room is great because it has big windows which let in lots of daylight.  Once the ceremony ended, we spent a few minutes outside taking photographs of the couple with not one, but two beautiful classic cars, before the guests came out to enjoy the champagne reception.  Two very efficient and helpful best men meant that the group photographs were taken care of quickly, allowing us to take Victoria and Jon away for a few minutes for some couple photographs.

An early wedding means lots of time for everyone to enjoy the day and we knew that Victoria and Jon were up for a laugh so some bridal party fun shots were on the cards as long as the weather played ball for long enough.

We were looking forward to spending a bit of time after the wedding breakfast with the couple and we were very lucky that although it did rain, it managed to do so when it didn't matter and as recommended wedding photographers for Hazlewood Castle, it was wonderful to be able to make the most of the variety of locations for Victoria and Jon's wedding photographs and to work with a couple who were so enthusiastic about getting as many images as possible, so much so that they delayed their first dance so that we could get the beautiful evening shots in the courtyard for them.

Thank you Mr and Mrs Monk for choosing us to photograph your lovely Hazlewood Castle wedding.  We've seen lots of different things at weddings but yours is the first where the bride was sawn in half!
