We always love the opportunity to work at new venues and this was our first time as Mitton Hall wedding photographers near Clitheroe in Lancashire. This lovely wedding venue is centuries old but inside it has a perfect mix of the antique and the contemporary. Because of the distance we decided to travel up the day before and although we'd done a recce with Carrie and Sam a few weeks earlier, it gave us an opportunity to have a walk round again at our leisure and choose some great places for their photographs. As Carrie and Sam got ready at the venue, albeit at opposite ends, the next morning we joined our bride, followed by our groom, to cover preparations for both of them and after some photographs of the boys at the front of Mitton Hall, we set off for the church and caught up with Sam again shortly afterwards to start the St Leonard's Church, Lango wedding photography. We were lucky to have a great vicar conducting the ceremony and he had no issues whatsoever with us capturing images from the back and from the front. We returned to Mitton Hall after a volley of confetti at the gate and we were lucky that the weather, which had been threatening rain all the time we were at the church, held off and allowed us to stay outside for the group photo session before it was time to get some photographs of the interior of the conservatory before the guests were invited to sit for the wedding breakfast. As we're now well into autumn it's a race against time for photographs outside in daylight once the wedding breakfast ends but there were some locations we really wanted us to use in Carrie and Sam's Mitton Hall wedding photographs. The pretty gardens boast a waterfall, and the borders below the terrace were still a riot of colour. And then there was Carrie's stunning dress with its low back, which just begged to be shown off, and as we love architecture in our images, we thought that the front of Mitton Hall was the perfect location for this. Thank you Mr and Mrs Glover for booking us to share your wedding day.
