Cubley Hall Wedding Photographer | Nicole and Sam's Wedding

We always love the chance to work somewhere new and this was our first time as Cubley Hall wedding photographers for the lovely Nicole and Sam, who we met up with for a recce of their venue a few weeks ahead of the big day to check out the best places for their wedding photographs, including a plan B, which you hope you don't need but we have needed on too many occasions during this soggy wedding season! The venue has beautiful views over open countryside, a picturesque pavilion where Nicole and Sam tied the knot and a barn conversation with gorgeous lighting, which is where the wedding breakfasts are held.  It doesn't, however, have much in the way of indoor locations for family groups should the weather let you down, so we clung to the hope that it would stay dry.  Nicole and the girls got ready at her parents' beautiful home, with make-up and hair styling going on in mum and dad's enormous kitchen. It doesn't often happen but Nicole was in her dress before it was our cue to leave to drive to the venue to meet the lads and it always delights us we have that few minutes to get some images of a beautiful bride with her family.  Sam and his team were in good spirits and from our meetings with the couple we knew he'd be a great laugh on the day.  He looked really smart in blue tweed with a pocket watch and a pink tie.  Nicole had told us she was nervous about the prospect of being photographed but she looked amazing, arriving with her incredibly proud dad in a classic car.  They had to wait a while, tucked away out of sight, whilst all the guests were seated.  It was windy and there was a very much an autumn chill, so there was some debate behind the scenes to decide where the ceremony should be held, making the outdoor ceremony pretty much a last minute decision.  But it didn't rain :) Afterwards it was on to the group photo session and confetti and then a few pictures of the new Mr & Mrs before dinner.  The speeches were really funny, the wedding breakfast followed and as the dessert came out so did two undercover waiters who got everyone into the party mood.  Afterwards we had some time alone with Nicole and Sam for their Cubley Hall wedding photography making the most of the last of the daylight, before we returned them to The Barn, had a chat with their DJ, a really lovely guy, who worked closely with us on the timeline to ensure we could capture twilight photos and get back inside and ready before he called the couple for their first dance.  In fact, he was so interested in what we were doing that he joined us at the pavilion whilst we worked. Congratulations and our very best wishes Nicole and Sam! Thank you for choosing us to be your wedding photographers.

You are welcome to share on social media but please ensure you do so only with our details on the images.  Thank you.
