Oulton Hall Wedding Photographer | Rebecca and Wade's Wedding

Becki and Wade's wedding was gorgeous and we were really happy when this fabulous couple booked us to be their Oulton Hall wedding photographers on an early autumn day.  After a summer of a lot of rain dodging it was great to have decent weather.  This wedding had everything to make it perfect - a fun couple who gave us that warm and fuzzy feeling, a lovely welcome from Becki's parents when we arrived at their house for bridal prep, priceless reactions from one very proud dad on seeing his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time, the bride ready well before we had to leave to meet the lads meaning we had time to capture those precious "first look" moments and some photos of Becki with her parents, a ceremony in a huge, impressive church that is St Bartholomew's in Armley, a beautiful reception venue where we are recommended photographers, spectacular autumn colours, hilarious speeches and everything coming together for Oulton Hall wedding photographs at twilight. There were lots of lovely details and moments to capture, including Becki's maid of honour having the honour (or was it the pressure?) of doing her best friend's make-up, personalised robes for the girls which created some laughs when we realised that the initials on the backs of them made up some slightly questionable words, calling for a quick rearrangement before the photos were taken, the overenthusiastic confetti throwing guests, dad's heartfelt speech about his Rebecca, the couple's fits of giggles in between trying to get romantic, and Wade with his head in his hands during his best man's speech.  It was a bit blustery when the couple exited the church after the ceremony but they pretended it was warm whilst we got the family groups done and they were absolute stars when we arrived at Oulton Hall, as it's that time of year when daylight is becoming short, so time is precious and wedding photographers work at a hundred miles an hour whilst trying to maintain an air or serenity and calm, like the swan, dignified and tranquil on the outside but paddling like mad under the water!  We packed as much as we could in until it was time for the wedding breakfast for around 125 people in the Oulton Suite.  It helped a lot that we were given a bit longer outside than we had expected and most of all the couple were happy to rush round the grounds with us to make the most of the daylight. Oulton Hall also has some beautiful interiors and we got some gorgeous images during the evening in our favourite spots inside, before Mr and Mrs Rushfirth were called to cut their wedding cake and do their first dance. Thanks a million for letting us share your fabulous day.  From what we heard during the speeches it had been long awaited!  Congratulations and our very best wishes for a wonderful future together.
