Jamella and Mark found us when they booked their venue and saw an album of some of our wedding photography at Rogerthorpe Manor. We're so proud to be recommended by the lovely staff at this beautiful venue and it's always a pleasure to capture the celebrations of the couples who choose it. We started our coverage of Jamella and Mark's wedding, not on the wedding day itself, but the evening before with Mark and his party having haircuts and traditional wet shaves at Karl Smith in Barnsley. It was an early start the next day and we caught up with the lads as they got suited and booted at their hotel, before we headed off to capture Jamella's preparations. It was really good to work once again with Andrew and Gail from A & G Productions who travelled some distance to video this gorgeous wedding. With winter weddings you expect it to be cold at best, but after the ceremony the weather was mild enough for everyone to stay outside for family photographs at the church. It was a massive bonus to be able to get the group photos outdoors with no complaints about the cold or be forced to work inside due to poor weather! After an impressive volley of confetti at the church gate, we got a head start to Rogerthorpe Manor with only the big group photo left to organise before we could devote some time to the newlyweds and capture some couple and bridal portraits whilst we still had daylight. During a lull between wedding breakfast courses Jamella and Mark nipped into the 1610 bar for a more few pictures and after the speeches we headed outside again for sparkler and evening shots. We had such a fantastic, fun day with this wonderful, enthusiastic couple. Our sincere thanks for choosing us to be your Rogerthorpe Manor wedding photographers. You've given us nothing but praise about our work and coming from Mark especially, who works for a professional camera company and knows loads of photographers, you choosing us was a huge compliment! Congratulations and we wish you every happiness for your future together.

Wedding Photography at Tankersley Manor for Helen and Craig
Helen told us that she had found us whilst searching Google for Tankersley Manor wedding photographs. She said that one of our images taken at the venue had come up and she loved it so much that she contacted us. We are so glad that this lovely couple found us! We had four days of summer in early May and they struck lucky booking their wedding on one of those days. We struck lucky being the Tankersley Manor wedding photographers for such a nice, friendly and enthusiastic couple on such a beautiful day, which started at Helen's mum and dad's home, where we had some pretty details to capture before our bride stepped into her dress and headed out into her parents' garden for some family photos. We left for Tankersley Manor to meet Craig, his parents and brothers, who arrived in a VW camper van and some time later Helen and her proud dad arrived in a classic Rolls Royce. The couple tied the knot in a civil ceremony in the Crook Barn and it was such a warm day that everyone gathered outside to enjoy the sunshine and the Buck's Fizz. Helen and Craig's attendants were fantastic and made sure that no time was lost during the group photo session, leaving us some time alone with the newlyweds before the wedding breakfast. During dinner we discussed ideas for our bride and groom's evening photo session and we noticed a location for some arty bridal portraits for Helen. Everything came together perfectly to allow for a really great time with Helen and Craig before their first dance together and for us to set up afterwards for the twilight photographs they really wanted. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Kitchen and thank you so much for booking us to photograph your wedding.

Wedding Photography Tankersley Manor, Barnsley
Wedding photography Tankersley Manor, Barnsley - Kate and Stephen - 26 September 2010
Our third wedding in three days and we were very excited about sharing Kate and Stephen's special day because we knew how excited Kate was about getting married and we just knew she'd be a lot of fun to work with. We started the day at Kate's mum and dad's house in Royston where professional make-up artist Nicola Shann was busy applying Kate's make-up. Nicola is a lovely lady and incredibly talented and Kate's reaction when she saw herself in the mirror must have made Nicola's day as well as Kate's because our bride looked stunning. Kate had chosen a beautiful and elegant wedding dress and it was a bonus that she was in it and completely ready a few minutes before we had to leave for Tankersley Manor in Barnsley. Her dad, Trevor, was just a bit emotional when he first saw his daughter all ready for her wedding and as professional Yorkshire wedding photographers, it was a privilege to be there to capture some very special moments between them. We must mention just how welcome Kate's parents made us and we really appreciate their hospitality. Leaving Kate in the capable hands of bridesmaids, Michelle and Brook who were so helpful throughout the entire day, we left for Tankersley Manor to meet up with Stephen and his attendants Rob and Robert for their photographs before the ceremony. Kate arrived a few minutes early, beaming through the window of the fabulous car, hired from Balmoral Wedding Cars of Sheffield. We were very happy to be allowed to photograph the wedding ceremony from the front and from the back, capturing the joy of the occasion and a little emotion, especially during Michelle's reading for the bride and groom. Afterwards it was outside for photographs with the car whilst the guests enjoyed the drinks reception, then on to the groups, some impressive confetti throwing and some fun shots with the attendants. The girls were really up for this - Brook even cheered when we suggested it! We love it when there's so much enthusiasm and Kate's lovely smile never faded all day. The speeches were very funny and it was hilarious watching Kate's reactions to some of the things that were being said. We'd previously discussed taking some night shots outside Tankersley Manor but as dusk arrived, Kate and Stephen had disappeared. We set up anyway and we were hopeful that they would make an appearance at just the right time - that window of only a few minutes before the sky turns black. As it happened, Kate's dad came to the rescue, saying that he would go and find them and a couple of minutes later, Kate came sprinting down the path asking if they were too late, closely followed by Stephen! No guys, it was perfect timing and it was our pleasure to share your happy and fun wedding day with you and your amazing families and a privilege to be your wedding photographers. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Threlfall!
If you are a member of Kate or Stephen's family or one of their friends, please feel free to leave a comment - thank you.
