Wedding Photography at Monk Fryston Hall for Jackie and Chris

Jackie and Chris booked us as their Monk Fryston Hall wedding photographers and we were really looking forward to a fun day with such a great couple.  It promised to be packed full of interesting things to capture, as they had really thought of everything to make their wedding unique and keep their guests entertained, from hearts which hung in the trees, a bright yellow and white balloon arch, Andrew and Brett of 24 Live who performed throughout the drinks reception and early evening, light up L O V E letters, a Ferrero Rocher stand, a sweet table, a drone video, a casino, a band, an exploding balloon and a choreographed dance routine.  Most of these were enjoyed indoors but the bouncy castle and assault course were sadly abandoned due to the wet stuff.  So much thought and attention to detail had gone into the making of this beautiful wedding.  The weather behaved itself during the wedding photographs at All Saints' Church, Sherburn in Elmet with Chris and the boys but it presented a real challenge from the moment Jackie and her dad arrived for the ceremony. Despite everyone's fingers being well and truly crossed and no doubt numerous prayers said to the weather gods, it rained without let up right into the night, ranging from steady drizzle to absolutely tipping it down. Even so, everyone had a great time and we did what professional wedding photographers do when it's raining, got wet, pulled the brollies out of the car, went to plan B and photographed the groups inside the church, and took Jackie and Chris's photographs inside the venue.  Mick, Chris's best man, deserves a big thank you.  He was a star, getting people together really quickly for the group photo session and he was on hand throughout the day with offers of help to make sure that his best mate and his new bride had a fantastic day.  His speech was hilarious, resulting in lots of laughter and some cracking images. Thank you to the new Mr and Mrs Eames for choosing us to share your celebrations. Congratulations on your marriage and we wish you every happiness for your future together!

Monk Fryston Hall Wedding Photographer | Fiona and Michael's Wedding

It's been a busy October with some great venues to work at and some lovely couples to work for and we were delighted when Fiona and Michael chose us to be their Monk Fryston Hall wedding photographers.  With everything at one venue we kicked off the day's coverage as Fiona was pampered in the bridal suite upstairs.  We then kept Michael and his attendants occupied for a while with photographs in the grounds  before it was time to catch up with Fiona again during those last few minutes of finishing touches and nerves before the ceremony.  She wore a gorgeous Ronald Joyce princess style dress and she looked stunning.  She also had two pairs of shoes but don't tell Michael!  The couple tied the knot in a civil ceremony before everyone headed out into the sunshine to celebrate. Sunshine!  That stuff that brides wish for and professional wedding photographers don't but wouldn't want to swap for the wet stuff given the choice! The light was very harsh so after the big group shot and confetti we changed location for the family groups to one where there was some shade, before we headed off down to the lakeside for some quiet time and some romantic portraits of the new Mr and Mrs Graham. Fiona's enthusiasm, her spectacular dress and long veil, great weather and a fantastic location meant that some artistic bridal portraits were on our list of images to create and capture before we returned our bride and groom to their guests and we photographed the room set for the wedding breakfast, as well as all those carefully and lovingly thought out details which make each wedding unique and special and which would otherwise be quickly forgotten.  With an early ceremony we still had plenty of daylight after the speeches were finished and once the sun had dropped we enjoyed a second bride and groom portrait session.  We had a brilliant time with Fiona and Michael, making the most of some the beautiful spots for Monk Fryston Hall wedding photography and capturing some gorgeous images for their wedding album.  Congratulations and a thank you guys for choosing us and for being such a fantastic couple who were a pleasure to work with.  We really enjoyed being a part of your celebrations.
