We recently had the pleasure of photographing Ben and his little sister Emily. When Ben was a baby, his mum and dad took him for three separate professional portrait sessions resulting in a folio of pictures to celebrate his first year and the idea was to repeat this for Emily and also to get some photographs of the two children together. Even though Emily was a bit off colour on the day of the session, she was still a joy to photograph, as was Ben who was an absolute gentleman, very co-operative and obviously devoted to his baby sister.
We are West Yorkshire wedding and portrait photographers, Alex and Janet, a husband and wife team who are full time, properly qualified, creative professionals with an absolute passion for beautiful wedding and portrait photography. Our attention to detail and the utmost care with have for our valued clients makes us very popular with discerning couples. Family Portrait Photographers in West Yorkshire
Imogen, Anthony, Austin and Zac
This lovely family came all the way from Bradford for a portrait session with us and although this was mainly for photographs of the boys together, we had great fun taking some relaxed shots of all the family, as well as Austin and Zac together and individually. Austin really enjoyed the experience, as he loves having his photograph taken. It has to be said that Zac was less impressed, but nevertheless, we managed to get some great shots before he decided enough was enough! We're looking forward to the viewing session with Imogen and Anthony soon.
If you're thinking about having your child and children photographed, it's nice to have some photographs taken as a family too. Parents are often reluctant to be photographed but your children will value the images they have taken with you much more than those taken on their own. It's well worth thinking about and as we are happy to take whatever combinations of family you would like within a single portrait session, there's no reason not to be photographed as a family. Children grow up so quickly and these family portraits will become a heirloom which they will treasure.
Call us on 01977 730159 to book your appointment at our special offer price of just £25 for a limited time only.

Becky
We are delighted to be the wedding photographers when Becky marries Simon in April in Marsden, Huddersfield followed by a reception at Crow Hill and we are really looking forward to sharing their big day. Ahead of this, Becky came into the studio for a portrait session with us and she was a joy to work with. The time flew by as we created several different styles of image for her. We are delighted with the results and we can't wait for her wedding day as we know she and Simon will be fantastic to work with.

Family Portrait Photographers in Yorkshire
We were delighted to receive this today from one of our delighted portrait clients - thank you Kirsty.
"Thank you for a wonderful photo session and you made us feel really welcome and at ease at your studio. It was a fantastic day and we all enjoyed our time with you, and now have some brilliant photos. It was especially good to see the patience you had with our five year old and managed to maintain his interest when he got bored. A very professional couple that made it easy and joyful. We highly recommend Alex and Janet to anyone who needs good photographs, whatever the occasion. Thank you. Kirsty and family."

West Yorkshire Portrait Photographer
Christine, Ian and Oliver
We're delighted at the number of previous clients who have returned to us for portrait sessions. It's a great feeling and very special when a couple whose wedding we photographed contacts us to share their big news - a new addition to the family - and ask us to take photographs of their baby.

We were the wedding photographers for Christine and Ian when they married in York and they were fantastic to work with. We were very excited when Ian contacted us to tell us that they are now the proud parents of baby Oliver and they wanted to come to the studio for a family portrait session. We were only too happy to oblige - it was great to see them again! Oliver is six months old and is the perfect age for a photo session. He's sitting solidly, doesn't topple over easily and he can't crawl or run away just yet! A lovely family, a gorgeous baby and some beautiful images.

2009 was very hectic for us and very exciting too. We worked with some fantastic people, had a brilliant wedding season, moved house and managed to get a studio up and running too. Not sure how we managed to juggle all this but it's been amazing and the studio means that we can offer our portrait clients a great experience in a warm, friendly and comfortable environment. It's also a lovely environment in which to welcome our wedding clients, show them our images and sample albums and chat about their wedding plans over a cup of coffee or tea.
We are currently offering a portrait session for the incredible price of just £25! This can be a portrait of one person, a couple, a family, the kids, a baby bump, a baby, a pet - you name it! We are happy to take various combinations of family within one session and if you'd like a change of clothes during the session, no problem. Why not take advantage of this fantastic offer which includes a viewing session to choose your favourite images? Families aren't always together very often and babies and children grow and change so quickly. Celebrate your family or your precious child with a beautiful portrait - call us now on 01977 730159
If we were your wedding photographers and you are expecting a baby, you will receive a portrait session absolutely free when your baby is born. Please contact us to book your appointment.

Contemporary Portrait Photographers in Yorkshire

Nathalie and John
We recently had the pleasure of working with Nathalie and John again after photographing their wedding earlier this year. The session was so enjoyable and the couple were really enthusiastic about it and about working with us to create some stunning, contemporary images for them. It was fantastic to be able to play around with lots of ideas for poses and the time flew by! Nathalie and John were brilliant subjects with great expressions and we are delighted with the results.

Baby Photographer in West Yorkshire

Alfie
Emma and Chris married almost a year ago and we were the photographers for their big day. Today we welcomed them to our studio with their beautiful five week old baby son, Alfie. Now Alfie has the most amazing eyes! He is the image of his proud dad. The session took quite a while because Alfie didn't think much to being photographed, voiced his opinion very loudly, then decided that a supper break was what he really needed! Mum Emma duly obliged and everyone else enjoyed a coffee break while Alfie enjoyed a leisurely supper! Patience is essential when photographing babies and it certainly paid off here, as we are rewarded with some gorgeous images later on when Alfie decided he'd had enough of crying, relaxed in his dad's outstretched arms (we know they were aching Chris!) and just stared straight into the camera with those gorgeous eyes.

Yorkshire Family Portrait Photographer

Today we made a round trip of 123 miles to Litton in the Yorkshire Dales for a family portrait session for 17 lovely people. It was a very long way to travel for a portrait sesssion but Kate hired us quite a while ago to do this, as a special gift for her parents' ruby wedding anniversary. The family hired a cottage in this spectacular location for a week and they thought that as they don't all get together very often, being spread all over the country from Wales to Southampton to Yorkshire, it would be great to take the opportunity to have some photographs taken together. We were privileged that Kate chose us to do this and we'd arranged to work outside if the weather was kind, which is wasn't! Driving along the winding roads through a mixture of drizzle and fog, it wasn't looking good for photographs outside but we kept our fingers crossed for a break in the weather. By the time we arrived at the cottage, it was still very wet underfoot but it had at least stopped raining and we really wanted to make the most of the beautiful backdrop outside. Everyone was brilliant, adults and children alike and got their coats, boots and wellies on to trudge through the wet grass to the spot we'd chosen. After taking some big family group shots of everyone, we took the smaller groups which the family had requested before heading back to the cottage for coffee and the most delicious homemade cake! Thank you for making us very welcome. We really enjoyed your company. It was well worth the long journey and the wet feet! We hope you enjoyed it too.
