Family Photography West Yorkshire | Portraits for the Smith Family

As family portrait photographers in West Yorkshire, we recently welcomed the Smith family to our studio.  They were such a laugh to work with as Jay has a very funny sense of humour, all of them were really happy and it was obvious that they enjoyed their time with us.  We worked though several ideas for family photographs before giving mum and dad the job of standing behind the camera and helping to make Brooke laugh.  However, she's such a gorgeous smiley baby anyway that it wasn't difficult.  We took  some baby photographs of Brooke on her own before bringing in the brightly coloured tub stack which she loves.  It was hilarious because Cara and I had to stack the tubs whilst Jay held firmly onto Brooke, as she just wanted to crawl to the tub stack and demolish it before we could get it fully assembled.  A great session!

Family Portrait Photography West Yorkshire

           

Beverley's partner Mark called us recently to book a portrait session for Beverley and her thirteen year old daughter Ellie.  Although the ladies admitted to being a bit nervous about their family portrait shoot when they arrived, they soon relaxed and got into the swing of things and they were great to work with.  Almost everyone tells us that they hate having their photograph taken and that they are nervous but we do our very best to make sure that our clients have a good time and that the session is relaxed and fun.  It's so nice to hear them say that they found the experience of having their photographs taken by us a pleasure and when they come back to view the images and tell us that they love them, it's so satisfying.  Beverley loved her images and has ordered a large frame which will have one large and five small photographs in it.  These are really popular with clients who can't narrow their selection down to just one image to be framed.  They are very eyecatching and are great value for money.  We can even show you what yours will look like before we order it so absolutely nothing is left to chance.  Mark had told us that Beverley loves black and white photographs and again, you can view your images as colour, black and white and sepia if you wish.  The funny thing was, after seeing the images in black and white, Beverley chose all colour!

Family Portrait Photography West Yorkshire - Kim, Grant, Olivia and Rosie

         

As family portrait photographers in West Yorkshire, we were very happy to see Kim and Grant and their daughters, Olivia and Rosie, when they came to have some photographs taken together.  They all looked great in jeans and t shirts - perfect for the relaxed and informal photography style they wanted - and we loved the girls' tops with their summery yellow bows.  We had loads of fun capturing the family, although it was a challenge keeping Rosie in one place for very long, as there were much more interesting things to be getting on with, like playing with her favourite Noah's Ark toy and all the animals.  Kim and Grant also wanted some children's photographs of the girls together.  Olivia, being older, was easy to work with but we had to find a way of keeping Rosie with her big sister for more than a nano second - something she wasn't too keen on!  We suggested a bit of dancing might work and Olivia and Rosie were definitely up for that.  Making children's photography a game and a lot of fun makes for great pictures and Olivia and Rosie were stars!  A fantastic family and a fun photo shoot.
