Heaton Mount, Bradford Wedding Photography | Angela and Cerith

Angela and Cerith booked us to be their St Paul's Church, Birkenshaw wedding photographers and it was our third time photographing a wedding at this church, but our very first time providing the wedding photography at Heaton Mount, Bradford.  This year's wedding season has seen us working at several new venues and although we enjoy working at familiar ones, we're always excited when couples offer us the chance to photograph somewhere new.

First stop was with Angela at her mum and dad's home not far from the church.  We were given a  very warm welcome and spent an enjoyable hour or so capturing bridal preparations and pretty accessories, including three necklaces, as Angela hadn't yet decided which one she would be wearing!  We left the girls to their finishing touches and arrived at the church just as Cerith did, giving us plenty of time to get the groom's portraits before Angela arrived with her dad.

Each time we've photographed a wedding at St Paul's there has been a different vicar and you never know whether the rules regarding photographing the ceremony will have changed when someone new takes over.  Happily, the current vicar had the same relaxed and accommodating attitude and Alex was allowed to take photographs from the front, with Janet capturing the long shots and atmosphere of the service from the back.

The couple came out to congratulations, hugs and confetti before the journey to the reception venue and the start of their Heaton Mount wedding photography.  With good weather, we stayed outside to capture the family groups, some fun shots with the bridal party, and a short couple photo session before the wedding breakfast started.

After the wedding breakfast and speeches, the four of us welcomed the chance to get outside again.  It was a bit cooler and the sun had gone down making the early evening light much softer.  We noticed that Angela never stopped smiling all day, which shows in the photographs.  In fact, when we tried for romantic expressions, she often burst out laughing!

A singer provided live entertainment during the evening party and the new Mr and Mrs Roberts danced their first dance together as husband and wife.  Thank you for the privilege of being your Heaton Mount wedding photographers, for making us laugh and for being so complimentary about our work and our service before you've even seen any of your photographs.  We hope you love them!

Wedding photographers West Yorkshire

Wedding photography at the Cedar Court Hotel, Bradford for Lyndsey and Michael on 31 July 2010

As wedding photographers in West Yorkshire, it was  a pleasure to photograph a wedding at another new venue and to tell Lyndsey and Michael's story as they tied the knot and celebrated with close family and friends at the Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

We caught up with a very chilled out Lyndsey who told us she was bored waiting around and had been ironing!!!! Now that's the first time we'd ever heard a bride say that - bored and ironing on your wedding morning???  It should be champagne and pampering!!  We started off capturing images of Lyndsey's gorgeous dress, her jewellery and her perfume.  Her shoes were her something blue and just lovely.

Michael's very cute nephew, stole the show during the guys' photo session.

We kept Michael and his brother and best man, Simon occupied for a short while to take Michael's mind off his pre-ceremony nerves.

We returned to Lyndsey's room in time to capture images as her dress was laced up.  It was great to be joined by Alan Macmillan of Macmillan Films, a videographer from Northallerton who's services we highly recommend.

We left Lyndsey to her finishing touches and went to join a slightly nervous Michael in the Boardroom where the civil ceremony was to take place.  He was the victim of a lot of leg pulling from his family about the fact the Lyndsey was late and they speculated that perhaps she'd changed her mind...  Not a chance!

After a lovely ceremony and with showers forecast, we took the newly married Mr and Mrs Hill to the front entrance of the hotel for a few photographs before we started with the group shots.  We got just over half way through the groups when the very fine drizzle we'd been ignoring turned into rain.  However, ten minutes later it stopped and we were back outside.  A big thank you must go to Michael's brothers, Nigel and Simon, who were an enormous help when it came to making the group photography session run smoothly and to all the guests who didn't object to a bit of drizzle!

Lyndsey and Michael were absolute stars, great fun to work with and we knew how important their wedding photographs were to them.  They were happy to go along with anything we suggested to get beautiful images.

Lyndsey looked stunning...

After the wedding breakfast, bridesmaid Sammy had a surprise for Lyndsey and Michael - a couple of balloons for them the release.  Wonder where they ended up?

Two pretty little flowergirls...

Our final job was to capture Lyndsey and Michael's first dance as husband and wife but we couldn't leave without taking a few shots of the duet the couple had hired - Fifth Avenue - who were incredible!

Our sincere thanks to Lyndsey and Michael and their lovely families for a fantastic day in great company.  We had an amazing time and really enjoyed capturing your special day.  Enjoy your honeymoon in Egypt!
