Waterton Park Hotel Wedding Photographers | Hannah and Josh's Wedding

After a long wait for summer to arrive the sun shone for Hannah and Josh's big day, which puts everyone is a good mood but makes wedding photographers complain that it's too sunny!  Seriously, after dodging the rain throughout this year the dry weather was a welcome change and it's always a great experience to be Waterton Park Hotel wedding photographers where we are one of the venue's carefully chosen recommended suppliers.  On Hannah and Josh's wedding day we made the trip to Waterton Park Hotel twice; first to photograph our bride as she got ready and then back again for the reception after the church ceremony at St Luke's in Sharlston where the couple were married by a lovely, friendly and accommodating vicar who advised us to do whatever we wanted, as this was a special day and the couple deserved the best photographs we could give them.  We really couldn't have asked for a more welcoming man and our sincere thanks to him.  After an explosion of confetti sent skyward and several yards down the road by the canons, the expert chauffeurs at Cartright's Cars transported the wedding party to the venue and we got a warm welcome from the wonderful Pauline, the wedding coordinator, when we arrived ready to start the Waterton Park wedding photography. The guests enjoyed the sunshine and the beautiful backdrops whilst we worked through Hannah and Josh's photos and a few minutes before the wedding breakfast we captured some shots of the Walton Suite, perfectly dressed by the amazingly talented Val from Cushty Chairs who always does a spectacular job.  After the speeches Hannah and Josh joined us for a few minutes so that we could get those iconic couple shots in the archway.  These are the photos that sold the venue to Hannah and were a must have for her.  The evening got underway with the couple's first dance and then a very lively party in the boathouse, courtesy of Waterton Park Hotel's resident DJ Shane. We love photographing weddings at this gorgeous venue.  Congratulations Mr and Mrs Kirton!

We always appreciate our work being shared on social media so please feel free to do so. Wedding Photography at Waterton Park Hotel | Amy & Kris

Our last wedding of 2015 was Amy and Kris's, and as recommended Waterton Park Hotel wedding photographers we were really looking forward to being there to share this lovely couple's celebrations.  Brides often ask us what we will do in the event of bad weather and it's fair to say that days when it rains without any let up are thankfully quite rare.  The honest answer is that we will get wet and you will get a little bit wet, but if you work with us and keep smiling, you will get beautiful photographs.  As professional and recommended wedding photographers for Waterton Park, we know that there are areas to work under cover and also the wedding co-ordinators are very much hands on when it comes to the smooth running of the day, including clearing a room for us to use to photograph the groups, without being asked and with no fuss.  Thank you Pauline and Amy!  Other factors help make great photographs despite rubbish weather; our collection of umbrellas which come with us to every single wedding, and the most important thing of all, a fabulous couple who are determined not to let the weather spoil their celebrations or compromise their photographs.  Amy and Kris couldn't have done more to help us and although we looked like a couple of drowned rats by the end of the day, we got some stunning pictures for them!  Amy looked gorgeous in her vintage style lace dress with bespoke veil and hairpiece and the heavy beading around the edge of her veil made it stay in place once arranged.  After we had lost the light altogether it was lovely to work on the staircase and in the reception area, capturing some more Walton Hall wedding photographs before the new Mr and Mrs Buckley joined their guests for the first dance and evening party.  Thank you so much, not only for booking us to share your beautiful winter wedding but for being such stars and for showing everyone that it's not the weather that matters, it's marrying your soul mate.
