Wedding Photography at Hornington Manor | Karen and Jamie's Wedding

Karen and Jamie are such a lovely couple, friends of Tor and Luke whose wedding we photographed a couple of years back, and it was they who recommended us to be the wedding photographers at Hornington Manor in Bolton Percy, near York, for the first time.  Tor made all the bouquets and Luke drove Karen to the church, cracked open the Champagne after the ceremony and transported the newlyweds to Hornington Manor. Don't you just love weddings which are full of fun, when there's lots of laughter, and when the bride's radiant smile never leaves her beautiful face?  Weddings like these are an absolute joy to be a part of and this was certainly how we felt about Karen and Jamie's day.   The girls got ready at the venue and Karen had carefully planned everything and timed it so that her hair was styled before make-up started and make-up was finished in plenty of time to allow her to get into her dress and for us to capture her proud dad's first look.  In fact, Karen did everything she could to make sure that we could photograph the important bridal preparations with time to spare, before we had to leave to meet Jamie and the lads and start the wedding photography at St Mary's church in Riccall, our first time working at this church but not the first time we had met Reverand Loftus, such a nice man who conducted the marriage of Tor's brother, Ali, to Amelia, the first couple from a circle of family and friends, several of whom have since booked us to photograph their weddings, which has made us very happy indeed. Anyway, back to Karen and Jamie's gorgeous wedding, with a funny, giggly couple, beautiful weather, a venue surrounded by open countryside, a bridal party who were up for a laugh, and Brazilian fire dancers who put on an after dinner show with a difference and who worked closely with us to co-ordinate some beautiful evening photos for Mr and Mrs Bingle.  Oh and did we mention that Jamie used to work in the wedding industry?  That came in really useful as he knew how to plan his own to perfection!  A massive thank you guys for choosing us for your Hornington Manor wedding photography.  We know you had a blast and so did we!

Allerton Castle | Allerton Castle Wedding Photographers | Holly and Adam's Wedding

To say we were happy when Holly and Adam decided that we were the Allerton Castle wedding photographers for them was an understatement.  They booked us before we had even met, on the strength of the photographs they'd seen on our website and after a bit of a chat with Holly via Facebook.  We always prefer an in person meeting with our couples to make sure we are a good fit but we had such a great feeling about Holly from her messages and when we did finally get to meet her and Adam we knew we'd struck gold with such a lovely, easy to get along with couple, and a beautiful wedding to capture at a stunning venue. They had put a lot of thought into the details, with a South African theme, which is where they went on honeymoon, spectacular floral decorations, glass lanterns containing candles on the staircase, and a female barn owl ring bearer named Ollie. We were over the moon to have good weather, but daylight starts to become noticeably shorter once you get into September and we were hoping that the timings for the wedding breakfast and speeches would work out and give us just enough light left afterwards for a few extra Allerton Castle wedding photographs before it got too dark. We shared our thoughts about this with Natalie from Dine, who was a star!  She looked after everyone on the day, and she pulled out all the stops to help us get Holly and Adam outside for some photographs during those last few minutes of daylight, before it was time to return the new Mr and Mrs Kunz to their guests and their evening party.  It was great to work again with Ryan Mulhern of Mulhern Media, who captured the day on video, a really nice guy who incorporates some very creative ideas into his wedding films.  Holly and Adam wanted some twilight photos which will be the last images in their album, the closing chapter of their wonderful day.  With careful planning we timed it to perfection.  Our sincere congratulations guys and many thanks for choosing us.  Your wedding was amazing!

Wedding Photography at Carlton Towers | Natalie and Robert's Wedding

We were so happy to be chosen by Natalie and Rob to be their Carlton Towers wedding photographers on the first of three weddings in three days.  They struck lucky with what turned out to be the best day, weather wise, offering as near perfect light as a professional wedding photographer could wish for and none of the wet stuff!  Natalie wanted her hair done by her regular hair stylist, Scott Banks in Wakefield, so his salon was her first port of call.  When she arrived at the venue we started capturing make-up being applied, a gorgeous dress and all the other carefully chosen accessories.  We left the girls to their preparations and spent some time outside with Rob and the lads before hot footing it back to Natalie's room for dress fastening and final preparations before the civil ceremony downstairs in that spectacular room with its ornate decoration, mirrored panels and crystal chandeliers. Natalie chose us because not only did we get on really well, but because she trusted us to capture beautiful and classical Carlton Towers wedding photographs which would stand the test of time and not look gimmicky and dated in years to come.  We love this stunning venue, it really suits our style and with great weather, lovely guests and such a fantastic couple to work with, we were truly made up.  Congratulations on your marriage and a huge thank you Mr and Mrs Ellam for giving us the privilege and pleasure of sharing your gorgeous wedding.
