Wedding Photographer Hazlewood Castle | Jennifer and Nathan

As Hazlewood Castle wedding photographers it was fantastic to be there to share Jen and Nathan's big day, the second of our four weddings in four days.  They booked us a very long time in advance for what is one of the most popular wedding dates of the year, the last Saturday in July, and we were really excited about their wedding because they are a great couple with loads of enthusiasm and also because we photographed Jen's sister, Victoria and Gavin's wedding three years ago.  What better compliment is there than when you have the privilege of being the West Yorkshire wedding photographers a family chose for the second time?

When we arrived at Jen's parents', Jan and Dave's house, it was like being amongst friends.  We were given such a warm welcome and we occupied ourselves photographing a gorgeous Sofia Tolli dress and Jen's shoes, jewellery and bouquet, whilst we waited for the girls to get back from the hairdresser.

The boys were waiting to meet us to start the Holy Trinity Church, Rothwell wedding photography, at the same church where Victoria and Gavin married.  This was another hot day and we found some shade around the side of the church for some portraits of Nathan before Jen arrived with her dad.  We know from experience that the vicar's policy at this church is photographs of the ceremony from the back only, which is definitely better than none at all.  With an 11am wedding and long daylight hours, there was time for mingling and congratulations plus some impressive confetti throwing before we left for the reception and the wedding photography at Hazlewood Castle.

Like Victoria and Gavin, Jen and Nathan hired Matt Stacey, the saxophonist, to entertain the guests during the drinks reception whilst we completed the group shots.  Matt then moved inside to play whilst everyone enjoyed the wedding breakfast in the Great Hall.  We returned to capture the speeches and then asked the bridal party to join us for some photographs, before we started the couple photo session around the grounds of Hazlewood Castle.

Although Jen and Nathan booked us because they really like us and because they loved the images we captured for Victoria and Gavin, they also wanted some images which were different, to reflect their taste and personalities.  We'd already talked through ideas in some detail and it was lovely to spend time with the new Mr and Mrs Smith, making those ideas come together into some beautiful and personal images for them.

Guys, it was our absolute pleasure to share your wedding day and to see your family, a couple of whom, brother and sister, Carter and Megan, have grown up a lot since we last saw them!  Our sincere thank you for choosing us and for allowing us to spend time in such wonderful company again. We look forward to seeing you soon and to designing your Italian storybook.

If you were lucky enough to be a guest at Jen and Nathan's wedding, please leave a comment and you are welcome to share our images with our logo on them.
