Sarah and Iain chose us for their Rogerthorpe Manor wedding photography on one of the most popular dates of the year for weddings, the first Saturday in June, making it a hat-trick of three weddings in three days for us, and a very busy weekend with many hours worked and many images captured for our fabulous clients. With the weather as unpredictable as ever and summer pretty much non-existent so far, us hoping for good weather for three consecutive days seemed a big ask, but sometimes you get lucky and finally, right on cue, summer arrived and we enjoyed warm, dry days for all our three weddings, which was just fantastic! What was also fantastic was spending a day with such a lovely, fun, friendly and down to earth couple. We joined Sarah in the bridal suite and once the getting ready photos and detail shots were done it was just a short trip downstairs and into the bar to find Iain and his best men and give them some modelling practice outside in the grounds, which are always immaculately maintained. On our return inside we had the pleasure of meeting Lyndsey, the registrar, for the first time. She's such a bubbly person and it's clear that she loves her job. Her warm personality made for a wonderful ceremony full of joy for Sarah and Iain and a great experience for us too as we captured it for them. With a late wedding we knew we were on the clock with the group photo session but Sarah's close friend Jemma was a diamond, who embraced the role of getting people together for us, which made the most of the time we had to work with before the wedding breakfast. Iain's daughter, Faith, played a big part in her dad and Sarah's wedding, and as the only bridesmaid, she stole the show. As recommended and regular Rogerthorpe Manor wedding photographers we know the venue well and once the wedding breakfast and speeches were over and the sunlight had softened, it was time to steal the new Mr and Mrs Walker away for some romantic photos together, using some of the locations we love to work with. Twilight is late at this time of year but the final images we created for this lovely couple were worth the wait and will look stunning at the end of their wedding album. Congratulations guys and a heartfelt thank you for giving us such a great time working with you, for looking after us impeccably and for your feedback on the day, which made us feel very proud and very humble.
