Wedding Photographer Gomersal Park Hotel | Karen and Kevin's Wedding

This preview for the lovely Karen and Kevin belongs to late 2018 but life took over from blogging during last year and we are finally catching up and sharing some of our favourite images from the beautiful celebrations that we are so lucky to be a part of.  This was our first time as Gomersal Park Hotel wedding photographers and after the weather had been spectacular all week it decided to tip it down all day long on Karen and Kevin's big day, forcing us to stay indoors, although we will admit to looking out of the window and poking our heads outside on a regular basis in the hope that we'd get even a small opportunity to nip around the grounds with the couple.  Karen got ready at the hotel and our Gomersal Park wedding photography got underway with bridal accessories, make-up and hair styling, which is a really important and very enjoyable part of the our wedding coverage. Grooms don't tend to be as concerned with the weather as brides are and Kevin didn't take much persuading outside under one of our umbrellas for a few portraits. We hoped the rain would relent after the ceremony but it didn't.  The hotel staff were great and with nowhere else large enough for group photographs they cleared a space for us in one of the function rooms, which meant a smooth and easy group photo session, and Karen and Kevin took it all in their stride and had a fabulous day, irrespective of the wet stuff. We've known Karen's family for more years than we care to mention and having photographed her sister, Claire's, wedding to Gary a few years ago, we were delighted and honoured to be chosen again for Karen and Kevin's.  The love, warmth and closeness that this gorgeous family have for each other is a pleasure to witness and we had a brilliant time in their company.  The couple married in a late civil ceremony and once we'd got the group photos in the can we had to get creative and work with the locations we had available indoors. There were lots of familiar faces amongst the guests and the evening celebrations consisted of informal speeches, a delicious buffet wedding breakfast, a romantic first dance and in true Yorkshire style, a pork pie cake.  Thanks a million Mr and Mrs Wilson for choosing us and congratulations on tying the knot!  We will see you again soon when we photograph your friends', Carolyn and Rob's, special day in May.

We'd be honoured if you wanted to share our images on social media and if you do, the watermark must not be cropped.  Thank you.
