Rogerthorpe Manor Wedding Photographers | Sally and Andy's Wedding

It's always a great feeling when a couple choose us to be their Rogerthorpe Manor wedding photographers or anywhere they want us to work for that matter, and over the years we've found similarities between the brides and grooms who book us, like Sally and Andy, who placed a lot of value on their wedding photography, wanted classy, elegant pictures and where attention to detail was really important.  We got on like a house on fire and we felt so valued that it was easy to go the extra mile for them.  It's hard to imagine a couple more complimentary about our work and they were awesome, so enthusiastic about everything we suggested to get beautiful photographs.  We always enjoy our visits to Rogerthorpe Manor, a venue local to us, and as we've built a great relationship with the staff, spanning many years, we get a warm welcome, always. The challenging weather has been a recurring topic of conversation this year but for a change the wet stuff gave us a break.  However, wedding photographers are hard to please when it comes to their perfect weather and it was breezy with bright sunshine, both of which present difficulties.  Not to worry, it not raining makes us happy, sunshine puts everyone in a good mood and we were there all day, as we always are, which means on those summer days we can pick and choose which areas to work in earlier in the day and leave other areas until later when the sun has set and the light is softer and more even. Sally got ready in the main hotel building, in a lovely room for bridal preparations, and she gave us a very warm welcome. The lighting and the headboard in this room makes a beautiful backdrop for that most important of dresses and Sally had asked for a photograph like one she'd seen in one of our albums. There were some beautiful details, as well as hair styling and make-up to capture before we moved outside for Andy's photographs.  We knew there was something very special about Andy's wedding ring, made from a gold ingot gifted to him to celebrate his christening, a lovely story that Andy shared with us before the wedding. The couple had their wish for an outdoor ceremony and everyone stayed outside and enjoyed the sunshine whilst we got the group shots in the can.  The Lawrence Suite looked really pretty, the speeches were belters and afterwards we had the luxury of plenty of daylight and the pleasure of spending some quiet time with Sally and Andy, whose happiness at becoming husband and wife was obvious. There was a magician who enthralled the guests during the early evening, the first dance was gorgeous and the icing on the cake was that there was only one wedding being hosted, so we got the main garden area and the folly to ourselves for some spectacular twilight photos. An absolutely fabulous day in fabulous company.  A massive thank you Mr and Mrs Green for choosing us. Congratulations!
