Wedding Photographers Rogerthorpe Manor | Jess & Sam's Wedding

We had an incredible day in the company of Jess and Sam as their Rogerthorpe Manor wedding photographers as autumn arrived with a chill. We love working at this gorgeous venue and when your couple laugh a lot and show the joy they feel at having got married, there's not much more a wedding photographer could wish for to make a perfect day. Our coverage started as Jess was pampered in one of the Courtyard Suites, which are lovely, spacious rooms where we can be out of the way as we photograph the pretty bridal details but close enough to keep an eye on how make-up and hair styling are progressing, with the intention of capturing flattering images as the bride gets ready.  Sam and his lads made us laugh during their lighthearted photo session in the grounds before we went back to Jess who was in her dress and looking absolutely stunning! We love it when the bride is ready a while before everything gets manic and the nerves kick in with the arrival of the registrars, followed by the walk into the ceremony. Those few minutes mean some beautiful images of a beautiful bride. After the couple tied the knot everyone braved the chill to have pictures taken outside and the venue's master of ceremonies, Lee, stayed out with a warm blanket ready to wrap around Jess's shoulders in between photographs! After the speeches the couple were ready for some romantic, relaxed pictures away from the hustle and bustle and the early evening light was just awesome, casting a golden glow through the trees and making for some spectacular Rogerthorpe Manor wedding photos before party time. Thanks a million you two lovely people for asking us to capture your big day. Congratulations and our very best wishes for a happy future together!

We would love you to share these images on social media but please do so only with our details on them.  Thank you.

Wedding Photographs at Rogerthorpe Manor | Rachel and Darren's Wedding

As regular Rogerthorpe Manor wedding photographers we first met Rachel, along with her mum, at an open day at the venue.  Rachel did almost all of the planning for the big day, including booking us, without Darren's input, and it was only at our final meeting just a few weeks before the wedding that we had the pleasure of meeting this lovely, quiet man. Rachel got ready in the bridal suite and as she wasn't keen on too many photos getting ready, we concentrated on the beautiful details of the wedding, including her gorgeous blush coloured Maggie Sottoro gown, before we met up with a slightly nervous Darren and his three sons, who were his best men, for some relaxed portraits in the grounds. Rachel had a couple of special requests - a photo of the wedding rings incorporating an autumnal theme, and some arty black and white bridal portraits similar to those she and her mum had seen in one of our sample albums.  The ring shot proved a challenge as it was really windy and the leaves wouldn't stay put, and we were very much against the clock with the bridal portraits as it was a late ceremony and we knew it would be dark after the wedding breakfast, but we are not easily beaten :) We went back to Rachel's room for final preparations and some portraits of her with her mum before the civil ceremony.  Because it was cold and windy, after the big group photo and confetti, Rachel opted for family photos indoors but we couldn't wait to get outside after these were completed and cram as much as possible into the time we had in daylight and use the grounds of the venue, a firm favourite of ours, for some beautiful Rogerthorpe Manor wedding pictures of the couple, as well as a some of the their daughter.  Theirs was a relaxed and informal wedding breakfast, exactly as Darren wanted, with everyone sitting around a single huge table in the Lawrence Suite, and without the formality of speeches, which helped because it meant we got some stunning twilight photographs at just the right time.  Had there been speeches, the twilight would have passed into complete darkness.  Sometimes things work out perfectly!  Thank you so much for choosing us and for the lovely comments we received on the day from you and from your parents.  We really appreciate being chosen to share this incredibly special day with all of you. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Nicholson.  We sincerely wish you a lifetime of happiness!
