Rogerthorpe Manor Wedding Photographer | Amy and Glenn's Wedding

Amy and Glenn's wedding was very much a family affair and it's been lovely getting to know Amy's parents, who are devoted to each other and to their two daughters, during the run up to the big day.  We always enjoy being Rogerthorpe Manor wedding photographers and we are recommended by and are regular visitors to this local venue with its beautiful grounds and its friendly and attentive staff. There is a trend for outdoor ceremonies at the moment and Amy, like many spring and summer brides, had her heart set on one and we photographed the setting for this before heading to the courtyard party room where the girls got ready.  Sadly, as happens all too often, the weather conspired against her and the decision was taken not to risk it, as it was blowing a gale and threatening rain, and so the ceremony was held in the Lawrence Suite. There were so many special moments at this wedding, including Amy's dad's and the bridesmaids' reactions on seeing Amy in her dress for the first time, and the antics of the groom's party (obviously very shy and retiring types!), and it's an incredible privilege to be able to capture these precious memories for our clients. The ceremony was a joy to share and afterwards we managed just a few minutes outside with the couple and got the big group photo in the can by the skin of our teeth before it tipped it down, forcing us indoors for the family photos, during which the rain stopped and the sun came out!  Don't you just love the British weather and the way it gives you the runaround!!  Amy looked absolutely beautiful; she never stopped smiling and took everything in her stride, and we packed as much as we could into the time available until the second wedding arrived and it was our cue to disappear and photograph the Lawrence Suite set for dinner.  As this was May 4th, there was a nod to it being Star Wars' day on the table place names.  With eight speeches in total, there are a lot of speech photos in Amy and Glenn's Rogerthorpe Manor wedding photography collection and it was quite late by the time these were over and we finally managed to sneak away and spend a few precious minutes with the new Mr and Mrs Dawson to capture some romantic bride and groom portraits.  Thankfully days are lengthening now and luckily the weather behaved itself.  It seemed that no sooner had we started than it was almost first dance time, punctuated by an exploding balloon, followed by Amy's dance with her proud dad, and a surprise Mr & Mrs game.  Glenn and Amy, you were fabulous and the appreciation shown to us on the day meant the world to us. Thanks a million for choosing us to photograph your wedding.  We wish you a lifetime of happiness together.

Wedding Photographers Rogerthorpe Manor | Jess & Sam's Wedding

We had an incredible day in the company of Jess and Sam as their Rogerthorpe Manor wedding photographers as autumn arrived with a chill. We love working at this gorgeous venue and when your couple laugh a lot and show the joy they feel at having got married, there's not much more a wedding photographer could wish for to make a perfect day. Our coverage started as Jess was pampered in one of the Courtyard Suites, which are lovely, spacious rooms where we can be out of the way as we photograph the pretty bridal details but close enough to keep an eye on how make-up and hair styling are progressing, with the intention of capturing flattering images as the bride gets ready.  Sam and his lads made us laugh during their lighthearted photo session in the grounds before we went back to Jess who was in her dress and looking absolutely stunning! We love it when the bride is ready a while before everything gets manic and the nerves kick in with the arrival of the registrars, followed by the walk into the ceremony. Those few minutes mean some beautiful images of a beautiful bride. After the couple tied the knot everyone braved the chill to have pictures taken outside and the venue's master of ceremonies, Lee, stayed out with a warm blanket ready to wrap around Jess's shoulders in between photographs! After the speeches the couple were ready for some romantic, relaxed pictures away from the hustle and bustle and the early evening light was just awesome, casting a golden glow through the trees and making for some spectacular Rogerthorpe Manor wedding photos before party time. Thanks a million you two lovely people for asking us to capture your big day. Congratulations and our very best wishes for a happy future together!

We would love you to share these images on social media but please do so only with our details on them.  Thank you.
