Wedding Photography at Waterton Park Hotel | West Yorkshire Wedding Photographer | Joanne and Chris's Wedding

After a hectic few weeks during the early part of the year and a very busy 2018 season coming up, it's time to try and catch up on blogging and telling you about the beautiful weddings we've had the privilege of photographing so far.  Joanne and Chris got in touch with us to ask if we would be their Waterton Park wedding photographers and we were delighted that this lovely couple booked us to share their special day at this gorgeous venue, with its unique island setting, and where we are proud to be recommended.  After being in the thick of the buzz and excitement of the preparations at Joanne's parents' house, it was on to a new church for us, to meet Chris and start the wedding photography at St Benedict's in Garforth where the priest was very obliging, allowing us free reign to photograph the whole of the Catholic ceremony.  The weather spoilt itself a bit and Joanne and her dad had puddles to dodge as they arrived, but Joanne and Chris's giggles as soon as they set eyes on each other set the tone for the entire day, which made photographing them an absolute joy.  The guests really gave it their all with the confetti throwing as the everyone left the church, the weather improved enough for us to make the most of the gorgeous locations for the couple's Walton Hall wedding photography and we managed to perfectly time some beautiful twilight shots with Joanne and Chris in the archway beside the lake.  They have been really quick with their selection of images and they already have their stunning album.  As professional West Yorkshire wedding photographers we love seeing beautiful wedding photographs come to life in print.  Congratulations Mr and Mrs Clark and a huge and most sincere thank you for choosing us!

  

Oulton Hall | Wedding Photography at Oulton Hall | Diane & Matt's Wedding

We've really enjoyed being Oulton Hall wedding photographers several times this year. It's a venue that has so much to offer that we feel like kids in a candy store whenever we work there, so we were delighted to hear from Diane and Matt when they were looking for someone to provide their Oulton Hall wedding photography.  We are proud to be one of the venue's recommended professionals and what more could you wish for than sharing a beautiful wedding with such a lovely and easy to get along with couple as they celebrated their marriage at this spectacular hotel.  We loved every moment spent capturing Diane and Matt's wedding day, surrounded by their wonderful family and friends who were so nice to be around.  The rich and vibrant autumn colours in the grounds and in the couple's details made for some gorgeous shots and the new Mr and Mrs Holden's down to earth and friendly personalities made their portrait sessions a joy.  We did two couple sessions - one after the group photographs were finished, to make the most of the grounds and pack as much as we could into the daylight hours which are in short supply at this time of year (and yes it was cold so thank you for being such a star Diane and for staying outside!) and a second one after the wedding breakfast when we concentrated on featuring some of the beautiful locations the interior has to offer.  We had a brilliant time creating some stunning bridal portraits for Diane in her amazing Princess dress (and we kept her warm this time!) before everyone headed to the Claret Jug to party the night away.  Many thanks guys for being awesome and incredible fun to work with!

Bagden Hall Wedding Photographer | Sarah and Kevin

Our third wedding of four in four days saw us as Bagden Hall wedding photographers for Sarah and Kevin.  After a scorching Friday and Saturday, the weather cooled just a little, making it more comfortable for everyone.  Although this was a civil ceremony at Bagden Hall, Sarah chose to get ready at home and then make the car journey to the venue with her dad, so we started at the couple's home in Barnsley before heading off to Bagden Hall.

We met a very smart Kevin to start the Bagden Hall wedding photography and capture some groom portraits and photographs of the boys together before Sarah arrived.  Kevin's parents had brought along a very special guest, their golden retriever, Teddy, who apparently worships Sarah!  

Everyone welcomed the slightly cooler weather and after the ceremony all the guests gathered on the grass for a big group shot followed by an explosion of confetti over the new Mr and Mrs Hirst.  Group photos were completed quickly and because Sarah and Kevin had factored in plenty of time,  everyone could enjoy a very relaxed drinks reception and the couple could also enjoy their photo session with us without being rushed.

The wedding breakfast room looked beautiful with tall, candle and flower filled Martini glasses as table centres.    Everyone enjoyed dinner and speeches and Tom, the wedding co-ordinator, was his usual helpful self throughout the day, not only looking after the couple and their guests, but us and videographers Ken and Carol Wilson from Phase 5 Productions, who worked alongside us.  

It's great when we get to work with couples who are enthusiastic about their wedding photographs and who are happy to invest time and effort into helping us get a wide variety of images in different locations for them.  Sarah and Kevin joined us after the wedding breakfast so that we could walk down to the folly, which earlier in the day had been bathed in unflattering and very harsh light.  As professional West Yorkshire wedding photographers, we know it's often a good idea to wait for better lighting conditions before taking photographs in certain locations around a venue, and because we always offer a full day's coverage, there is usually an opportunity to pick and choose where to photograph and when, according to the light.  We'd noticed as the sun started to set that the light was beautiful on an area of long golden grasses backed by trees, and this gave us an idea for some romantic couple portraits.

Sarah and Kevin had really gone to town when it came to keeping their guests entertained throughout the day and evening, booking casino tables and a ice cream trike, but the finale to their wedding day came at 10pm when they treated everyone to a spectacular firework display and we got some fantastic images as the couple stood on the lawn to watch them.

Thank you for being so relaxed and lovely to work with.  We had a brilliant day, we loved working with you, the ice cream was delicious and the fireworks were amazing!
