Waterton Park Wedding Photographer | Wedding Photography for Sarah & Greg

We were very happy when Sarah and Greg booked us for their Waterton Park wedding photography.  They are a truly lovely couple and the perfect complement to one another - Sarah is quiet and Greg isn't 😆😆 We knew we'd have a brilliant day with them, as we got along so well at our first meeting.  Greg is very funny and chatty and Sarah just smiles and lets him get on with it.  What both have in common is that they are genuinely nice people and this, along with the fact that they put a lot of importance on their wedding photos, meant photographing them and just being in their company was a real pleasure.  Sarah and her girls got ready in the hotel on the mainland and after the tranquility in their room the next chapter of the day's celebrations was to go over the bridge to the island and find some men to play with.  Greg kept us entertained with his good natured banter, the sun shone and we were fortunate indeed to have a good weather forecast for the whole day for a change.  Although wedding photographers hate bright sunshine, we hate rain more and we've had a lot of that this year.  We made a quick trip back to Sarah's room for final preparations before the girls walked over to the island.  We found Sarah's dad sitting in the ceremony room, having completely forgotten that he had an important role to play in walking his beautiful daughter into the ceremony.  A quiet word and he was quickly out of the room and by Sarah's side.  The ceremony took place in the Walton Suite and straight afterwards the wedding coordinator, Pauline, as hands on and helpful as she always is, quickly encouraged everyone over the bridge for the confetti shots.  As recommended Waterton Park Hotel wedding photographers we love working at this unique venue with its beautiful island setting, which offers so many places to take couple portraits.  After the one hundred miles an hour that wedding photographers have to work at before dinner to get a lot done in a short time we love the time after the wedding breakfast and before the evening party, when we usually get a chance to slip away, let the couple take a breath and absorb the fact that they are now married, slow things down and capture some romantic portraits featuring the best areas around the venue.  Sarah and Greg were fabulous and we were so grateful of their willingness to work with us and for the appreciation shown to us. Greg had spotted a framed portrait in our studio which he particularly liked, of a couple doing a dip, and he asked for something similar.  After reassuring Sarah that he wouldn't dare drop her we gave the couple a bit of direction and got some gorgeous images before the evening party kicked off in The Boathouse, hosted by resident DJ Shane.  Many, many thanks Mr and Mrs Swales for being awesome to spend the day with. Congratulations on tying the knot!

Wedding Photographer Waterton Park | Katie & Gareth's Wedding

It was wonderful to continue our winter wedding season with the gorgeous Katie and Gareth's wedding photography at Waterton Park Hotel where we always enjoy working. We are recommend photographers at some of the best venues in our area and it gives us an immense sense of pride and achievement to know that our hard work has paid off. Waterton Park is one of those beautiful venues and we are delighted to consider members of staff as friends who always greet us warmly. Back to Katie and Gareth who are some of the loveliest people you could wish to meet.  Katie got ready in a room right next to the ceremony room, which was good for two reasons - she avoided having to walk to the ceremony in the rain which had reared its ugly head for the second wedding in a row, and it was difficult to be late as she didn't have far to travel! Seriously, we spent a very enjoyable time photographing some beautiful details, including an impressive pair of killer heels, and we got to capture hair twirling and make-up being applied before we started the second chapter of the day, Gareth and the boys. The ceremony took place in the Walton Suite and straight afterwards, with the invaluable help of Pauline, the wedding coordinator, we got everyone to leave the hotel and follow the couple across the bridge to pelt them with confetti, followed by the big group photo on the cobbled path. As we were treated to an interesting mix of drizzle, wind and low, blinding sunshine, we decided the best bet was to keep everyone warm and happy in the library for group photos before Katie and Gareth braved the weather and headed outside so that we could make the most of the beautiful locations a Waterton Park wedding photographer has to work with. Daylight's at a premium at this time of year; there's no catching up later, so we had to work fast to get as much as possible in the can before it was time to get pictures of the wedding breakfast room, table details and cake. Katie was a stunner in that fabulous dress of hers and we were so happy to get the chance to take some bridal and couple portraits indoors featuring the rich, red unholstered chairs and the Christmas tree in the reception area before everyone headed downstairs into the Boat House for the evening celebrations. Mr and Mrs Lee, thank you for giving us the pleasure of sharing your amazing wedding day. Huge congratulations and our very best wishes for the future!

Sharing on social media is great and we would love you to do that but please keep our details on the images. Thanks a million!
