Oulton Hall Wedding Photographer | Sarah and Chris's Wedding

We love working as Oulton Hall wedding photographers as it's such a gorgeous venue with lovely, friendly staff.  Not only that but It's local to us and we are proud to be recommended by the wonderful wedding coordinators, so we get to visit on a regular basis to photograph weddings and also to exhibit at the Open Days hosted by them.  It's one of very few venues that we know of where if the weather is challenging you can photograph everything indoors without too much of a compromise, as there are some absolutely beautiful areas inside to use for Oulton Hall wedding photography.  This was our first of three weddings in three days and Sarah and Chris's booking was unusual for us, as we didn't get to meet them before they reserved our services. We put so much into providing an excellent service that it's important for us all to know that we are a great fit, however, the couple live in Dubai and meeting until much closer to the wedding was impossible, but we had good vibes after chatting via email with Chris's mum, who took over the booking process for Sarah and Chris's Yorkshire Day wedding once they had settled on us as their photographers.  On the day we were joined by Tom Walters who filmed the celebrations and we enjoyed a very warm welcome from Sarah when we arrived to capture the girls' preparations.  Another first for us was photographing an outdoor ceremony at Oulton Hall and I'm sure everyone breathed a sign of relief that the weather held for this to go ahead. We knew that Sarah wanted as many fun, animated and relaxed pictures as possible;  not too many looking at the camera, she told us.  Luckily the bridal party were up for a laugh too and they really got into the spirit of fun and celebration, working with us to get the kind of images we hope Sarah and Chris will love.  The colour scheme was spectacular; the vibrant colours of the flowers really stood out against the navy blue of the bridesmaids' dresses. Sarah looked beautiful and Chris scrubbed up pretty well too!  The laughter carried on throughout the day and the couple giggled so much that it was a challenge to get them doing anything else!  We did manage to coax a few romantic moments out of them after dinner, on the gallery where the light is exquisite and where the warm tones really add to the mood of these images.  The first dance was preceded by another first; the bride's father dancing wearing an inflatable dinosaur suit, not something you see at every wedding! Thanks a million Mr and Mrs McMahon for booking us to capture your fun Oulton Hall wedding and congratulations on tying the knot on Yorkshire Day!

We are more than happy for you to share the images on social media providing that you do not crop our details.  Many thanks.

Oulton Hall Wedding Photographer | Patricia and Neil's Wedding

What a cracker of a day we had as Patricia and Neil's Oulton Hall wedding photographers at the beginning of June.  We first met them when they were checking out venues and they chose Oulton Hall after a conversation with us about what makes a great place for a wedding.  Of course it comes down to how much you love a venue but it's also the friendliness of the staff and whether they will do everything they can to help things run smoothly, especially if the weather lets you down. Wedding photographers are always under pressure at the best of times and poor weather adds to that.  Having staff who work with you, including the concierge who kept the red carpet down for the couple until after the wedding breakfast, and some great locations for indoor Oulton Hall wedding photography makes a massive difference, so it's these things, along with the beauty of the place, that makes this venue one of our favourites.  We started at the couple's home, moving on to St Oswald's church in Methley for the ceremony, where the wonderful vicar, Sarah, a good friend of Patricia and Neil's, did the honours.  She certainly took her place on our "best vicars' honours list", being incredibly lovely and also for making it clear that photography during the service was welcomed and encouraged.  We again had the pleasure of working alongside videographer Jordan Lee, who we first met earlier this year and who is a genuinely nice guy and very considerate towards his photographer colleagues.  Patricia and Neil's wedding day was packed full of special people and beautiful personal touches. Her best friend styled Patricia's hair, her daughter, Sarah, is a singer in a band, her husband is the drummer, and the band performed during the ceremony and in the evening. She has a voice that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up; an incredibly talented lady, who also had the honour of walking her mum into church.  Sarah's daughters were like little princesses and were a joy to photograph, the speeches brought tears to many eyes, and as Patrica and Neil go dancing it went without saying that these two wouldn't just be shuffling slowly around the dance floor!  The ceremony ran longer than planned, as the couple have close connections to the church and sing in the choir, so they decided they wanted to include a mass.  This did have an impact on the timings but during summer and theirs the only wedding day we've had so far this year when the rain stayed away, apart from a teasing light shower as we arrived at the church, we had loads of perfect soft daylight after dinner to concentrate on some couple portraits before everyone met up in the Claret Jug for the evening party.  When we first met them Neil was very impressed with our beautiful twilight photos, so after the first dance we set up and whisked them back down to the hotel for a final set of images which will finish off their wedding album. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Hampshire, such wonderful, warm people.  We loved working with you on your special day!

We're more than happy for you to share on social media and spread the word about us but we ask that our copyright is respected and our details are not removed.  Thanks a million :)
