Wedding Photographers in West Yorkshire

Wedding photography Waterton Park Hotel - thank you

Today we were very happy to receive a lovely thank you card from Sarah and Tom Cass whose wedding we photographed at Waterton Park in the summer.

"To Alex and Janet
We would both like to start by saying a HUGE thank you for everything you have done for us.  Our wedding pictures are stunning and everyone we show them to can only echo this.  We are so glad we chose to have the storybook as it really does show off the images to their best.  You have both made us feel so relaxed right from our first meeting, to our engagement shoot and of course on the big day.  Our guests have commented how lovely and how professional you both were on the day.  We are so glad you were recommended to us and we will definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a photographer.  You have given us memories which we can treasure for a lifetime.  Love from Sarah and Tom Cass x"

Wedding Photography Yorkshire

Thank you

In August we were the wedding photographers for Emma and Scott Dickens when they married in North Elmsall before celebrating at Wentbridge House.  Last week they collected their fabulous Graphistudio storybook wedding album from us and we were delighted to be presented with a beautiful, handmade thank you card which we very much appreciate.  We were over the moon with it and with the lovely comments which Emma had written inside.

"To Alex and Janet
Thank you so much for the wonderful photos, we couldn't ask for anything more.  It was a pleasure having you photograph our wedding day.  From the first day we saw your photography we were truly amazed and said we wouldn't have picked anyone else!  Thank you again."

Wedding photography Rogerthorpe Manor - Siobhan and Gareth - 24 September 2010

A very busy weekend with our first of three weddings in three days.  As regular wedding photographers at Rogerthorpe Manor, it's always a pleasure to work there.  Siobhan and Gareth's wedding was a small and intimate celebration with only a handful of very close family and friends in attendance.  We started the day in the bridal suite taking photographs of Siobhan's dress which was very special as it had been handmade by her talented sister, Grace.  We met up with Gareth and his best man for some shots around the grounds of the wedding venue, before heading back up to Siobhan who by now was in her dress and almost ready for the wedding ceremony.  As always, the Pontefract registrars did us and the couple proud, allowing us to photograph the civil ceremony.  A cool and breezy day, it did manage to stay dry so that we could work outside and with the number of guests being small, the "big" group shot didn't take too long to set up!  With the group photography done, we had plenty of time left for photographs of the newly married Mr and Mrs Hughes around the lovely grounds of Rogerthorpe Manor before everyone sat down for dinner around one big table in the Rose Room.  With the nights drawing in now, our evening photographs are getting earlier and we timed it so that the light was just perfect for these, and as it was a bit on the chilly side, we decided to set up before we invited Siobhan and Gareth outside for a few minutes to get some gorgeous shots with the venue lit up in the background.  Think it was worth a few goosebumps guys!  A full moon made an appearance too - what a nice bonus!  Thank you for asking us to capture your special day.

Wedding photography Castleford and Rogerthorpe Manor for Kelly and Adam on 28 August 2010

A local wedding for a lovely local couple, Kelly and Adam, at All Saints' church in Castleford, followed by a reception at Rogerthorpe Manor.  We were the photographers for Adam's sister, Rachel when she married Matt in the same church last year.  Today it was fantastic to share Kelly and Adam's special day and to be surrounded by quite a few familiar and friendly faces.

We arrived at Kelly and Adam's house to capture Kelly's preparations.  Her bridesmaids all had matching shoes and Kelly's amazing Pronovias Spanish dress had such a "wow" factor.

We met up with Adam and the boys at the church and kept them occupied for a while.  We had a lot of fun taking their photographs.  We particularly like this mean and moody shot!

Beautiful Kelly arrived with her proud dad, David.

As always at this, our local church, the vicar was very generous when it came to photographing the ceremony, which is something we really appreciate.  It was so nice to be able to capture Kelly and Adam's marriage service and some of the beautiful architecture inside the church.

Kelly's mum, Jeanette, had let us into a secret.  She'd organised a dove release for her daughter and new son in law.  Not sure what Adam was expecting to emerge from the basket because he did look a bit worried as the doves made their escape!

As regular wedding photographers at Rogerthorpe Manor, we really enjoy working at this venue.  The grounds offer a lot of opportunities for great photographs and the staff are very friendly.

There was a slight blip in the weather just as we started the groups but thankfully the drizzle didn't last long and we were quickly back outside.  With the main family groups done, it was time for some fun with the girls...

Kelly had said from the start that she wanted a colour scheme and wedding photographs that were different.  Well, she chose a gorgeous colour scheme which definitely was different.  Those burnt orange bridesmaids' dresses were just stunning!

With plans to leave our more artistic shots until after dinner, we captured some relaxed and natural photographs before everyone was seated for the wedding breakfast.

So, with Kelly's request for different wedding photographs firmly in our minds, after the wedding breakfast and the speeches were over, we borrowed her for a few minutes to create a bridal portrait that we think is a bit different.  She looks amazing!

Kelly and Adam were fantastic to work with and Adam didn't mind putting his beer to one side for a couple of minutes to cuddle up to his beautiful bride!

A lovely late summer evening to make the most of!  Adam had ditched his jacket and Kelly had ditched her shoes by this point, walking barefoot on the grass.  A relaxed and romantic walk together made for some great pictures.

Thank you Mr and Mrs Spears for booking us to capture your fabulous wedding day.  We look forward to seeing you when you return from honeymoon and to designing an Italian Storybook for you to treasure.

If you are family or friends of Kelly and Adam, please leave them a comment below.

Sarah and Dean's wedding at Rogerthorpe Manor on 28 May 2010

A very busy weekend began with the celebrations of Sarah and Dean on a lovely, sunny day - just the kind of day every bride dreams of for her wedding.

We arrived at Sarah's parents' house in Sandal to document Sarah's preparations and we were greeted by a very relaxed and happy bride.  The perfume bottle says it all!  After getting some great images of Sarah's gorgeous Alfred Angelo gown, shoes and accessories, she got into her dress in good time for us to take some photographs of her and dad before we left for Rogerthorpe Manor to meet Dean.

We were just finishing off the boys' photographs when Sarah arrived, nice and early.

As Sarah and Dean had decided on an intimate wedding attended by close family and friends, the ceremony took place in the Rose Room.  The beautiful ceremony was conducted by Jane Milner from Pontefract register office - a fantastic lady who we are always delighted to see and who never fails to make the ceremony special.

Sarah and Dean are such a lovely couple and they made it clear from the start that they were happy to go along with whatever we suggested for their photographs and that the photographs were very important to them.  They were so relaxed and it was such a pleasure to work with them.

The last shots before we left included this stunning night photograph featuring Rogerthorpe Manor in the background.  Thank you Sarah and Dean for asking us to capture your wonderful wedding day.
