Waterton Park Hotel Wedding Photographers for Abbey and Adam

With two weddings already in our diary for that weekend, Abbey and Adam secured our services for their Waterton Park Hotel wedding photography and made it a hat trick of three weddings in three days for us, the second of four such weekends this year.  The couple had been let down by the photographer they had originally booked and we were over the moon to be available to step in for them, and what a pleasure it was to photograph such a gorgeous wedding and such a beautiful couple.  Abbey got ready with her girls in the hotel, whilst Adam got suited and booted well away from the girls, on the island side. Two photographers makes such a difference to the coverage of a wedding and once Abbey's stunning dress and accessories had been photographed, Janet stayed with her to capture make-up shots and her reactions as she was presented with Adam's gift of a pair of Louboutin shoes, whilst Alex hot-footed it over the bridge to check in with the groom, who'd definitely scored some major brownie points with such a fabulous wedding present to his bride.  We both joined the boys for their photographs outside and they all looked very dapper in their tweed suits and bow ties.  Abbey was getting into her dress when we arrived back at the hotel for those final photos before the ceremony when the nerves are really starting to kick in.  As usual the Wakefield registrars were brilliant and did everything they could to allow us to capture the civil ceremony and get the best photos for the couple. Abbey and Adam couldn't have wished for better weather and once rings had been exchanged and confetti had been thrown, it was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves on the island and soaking up this spectacular location before the wedding breakfast.  With a stunning couple, lovely guests, perfect weather, long daylight hours and a gorgeous location, what more could a Walton Hall wedding photographer wish for? Thank you so much Mr and Mrs Murgatroyd for trusting us and for allowing us the pleasure of sharing your gorgeous wedding day.  We had such a good time and we can't wait to see your images come together in what will be an amazing storybook album.

Waterton Park Hotel Wedding Photographers for Lindsey and Gav

We're are very happy to have earned an excellent reputation and be recommended wedding photographers for Waterton Park Hotel, as well as other venues in our area, and we were delighted when Lindsey and Gav decided that we were the photographers to capture their special day at one of our favourite places.  The girls got ready in one of the rooms upstairs and the atmosphere during the bridal prep was one of fun and banter and we enjoyed the giggles as we photographed make-up being applied, hair being twirled and some beautiful details, including Lindsey's bouquet of peonies, roses and sweet peas, in vibrant coral, hot pink and ivory.  We left the girls and crossed over the bridge to start the Walton Hall wedding photography with Gav and the lads and they had plenty of banter of their own to keep us entertained during the groom's portrait session.  Lindsey was in her stunning dress when we got back to her room and the nerves had really started to kick in but once she was beside her husband to be the nerves gave way to smiles and joy as vows were made and rings exchanged.  The couple were showered with confetti and then the guests enjoyed the pretty lakeside surroundings whilst we photographed the groups.  Early ceremonies in summer mean a longer and more relaxed day for everyone and for us it means being able to do some couple photos and bridal portraits before the wedding breakfast and some afterwards, still with plenty of daylight.  Also, once dinner is done it's a good time to have some fun with the bridal party, as nerves over speeches are gone and everyone has loosened up.  Lindsey, Gav and their attendants were fantastic and very much up for a laugh.  Once the fun shots were in the can our bride was determined to spend plenty of time with us to get as many photographs as possible and we got some lovely portraits.  After the first dance we set up for the twilight photos Lindsey really wanted. This did mean we had to interrupt Gav who was busting some moves on the dance floor but Lindsey knew that these photos are time critical and some words from his wife brought Gav outside!  Sorry for interrupting your dancing Gav but we hope that when you see the images you will think it was worth it :) Thank you for booking us to share your celebrations and huge congratulations from both of us on becoming Mr and Mrs Smith!

Wedding Photography Waterton Park | Kirsty and Richard

Kirsty and Richard very kindly chose us to be their Waterton Park Hotel wedding photographers on a day fairly typical of April, with a mixture of sunshine, strong winds and rain, just to keep us on our toes.  Couples like them are the reason why we love weddings so much. They laughed and smiled all day, had a great time celebrating the fact that they had finally become Mr and Mrs Graham, and they were wonderful to photograph, patiently working with us and making our job a pleasure.  Their beautiful children played a huge part, with their son Keiron having the privilege of giving his mum away to his dad.  The couple's lives revolve around football, Richard being a former professional player who now coaches, and naturally the football theme found its way into their wedding.  As theirs was a Thursday and the only wedding that day, we got some valuable extra time outside for the wedding photographs at Walton Hall before everyone sat for the wedding breakfast.  Kirsty's brother, Stuart, was great at organising everyone for the groups and his assistance meant a few minutes left afterwards to get some couple photos whilst the rain just managed to hold off, because it absolutely chucked it down during dinner.  By the time Richard had been well and truly made fun of during the speeches by his two best men (always a risk having two of them), the rain had stopped and the wind had dropped and we enjoyed some quiet time with the couple, making the most of the lovely backdrops that make Waterton Park wedding photography such a pleasure.  The fun and happy atmosphere continued after the first dance with a sing-song with a difference, where guests had been asked to suggest the songs they'd like to sing, and Kirsty and Richard had provided song sheets with the lyrics on so that everyone could take part.  Twilight photos were in our plans regardless of the weather but because the wind had subsided, the lake was like a mirror and it made these images even more spectacular.

Congratulations Kirsty and Richard on your marriage and thank you so much for booking us.  We hope you love these, a small preview of your wedding day.
