Oulton Hall | Wedding Photography at Oulton Hall | Leanne and Simon's Wedding

Leanne and Simon very kindly booked us for their Oulton Hall wedding photography and we were really happy, as they are a great couple and Oulton Hall is one of our favourite venues.  It has everything you could wish for, from the grounds with lush greenery to the spectacular classical architecture and features of the hall itself, which compliment our style perfectly.  The venue appeals to discerning couples who want a beautiful, elegant location for their wedding and photographs to match. After visiting Leanne's parents' home for bridal preparations, where we were warmly welcomed by Julie and Dave, we headed off to meet Simon and the lads at the church in Ledsham, or rather in the pub where we knew he'd be enjoying a pre-ceremony drink. Simon said that he was really enjoying his groom photo session at the church, which is what we love to hear, as we try to make sure that our photography is relaxed and great fun for our clients.  After Leanne's arrival with her proud mum and dad and a lovely ceremony in this picturesque village church, we made the trip to Oulton Hall just ahead of the couple, ready to meet them at the front for some pictures with the car.  After the nerves which almost every bride has as she walks up the aisle, Leanne was much more relaxed and we had a great time photographing the couple together and creating some beautiful portraits of a very elegant bride in a stunning dress. Daylight is becoming much shorter now we're into autumn and it's that time of year when wedding photographers are mindful of fitting in as much as possible before the wedding breakfast, but with good co-operation from the guests and perfect weather, we had time after the group photos to get a good selection of Oulton Hall wedding photographs outside for Leanne and Simon before it was time for the call in for dinner.  Oulton Hall is one of those venues which has such fabulous locations indoors that we always look forward to the bride and groom's evening photo shoot, which is when we disappear up onto the gallery and staircase.  This allowed Leanne and Simon some quiet time together and us the chance to create some romantic and artistic portraits for them.  They especially wanted photos in the lift and we are delighted with the way the sequence of images worked out, especially when you have just fifteen seconds before lift doors close!  Congratulations Mr and Mrs Jewitt and thank you for booking us.

Mount Pleasant Doncaster Wedding Photographer | Diane and Adey's Wedding

Getting the booking to be the Mount Pleasant, Doncaster wedding photographers for Diane and Adey's special day was a massive compliment.  We won't tell the whole story of why that is but suffice to say we have known Diane for several years and we were so happy for the two of them when she and Adey became an item. Some time later their precious daughter, Olivia, arrived, and more recently, Diane got in touch to ask us about our availability before the couple secured a wedding date.  Things like this make us very grateful and extremely humble.  Both of them got ready at the venue but in separate rooms, a far enough distance away from each other; our bride well and truly pampered in one of the suites and our groom having to "make do" with a standard hotel bedroom, exactly as it should be ;) When we arrived to start the wedding photos at Mount Pleasant, our first time working there, the atmosphere in the girls' room was chilled out and relaxed.  Alex photographed Diane's gorgeous dress and accessories, whilst Janet concentrated on capturing the make-up shots.  We left the girls to gate crash Adey's room and start the photographs with him and his best man and then we went back to Diane's room for dress fastening pictures and final preparations before the ceremony.  All photographers wish for the weather to be kind on a wedding day but as Diane and Adey had booked their wedding around our availability and on one of the few free dates we had that month, we definitely had fingers, toes and everything else crossed for lovely weather for them.  If anything, it was too sunny (did we dare say that?!) which made photographing the outdoor civil ceremony quite a challenge, but we knew just how much it meant to them to be able to marry outside, and we got some great images as the new Mr and Mrs Crabtree made their vows, before everyone moved into the garden for drinks and group photos.  Diane and Adey have become good friends and we really enjoyed capturing the memories of their wonderful, relaxed and happy wedding day, with the added bonus of a few beautiful twilight photos, perfectly timed, to end their wedding album.  Thanks a million guys for putting your trust in us.  We hope you love the preview!

Wedding Photography at Hornington Manor | Karen and Jamie's Wedding

Karen and Jamie are such a lovely couple, friends of Tor and Luke whose wedding we photographed a couple of years back, and it was they who recommended us to be the wedding photographers at Hornington Manor in Bolton Percy, near York, for the first time.  Tor made all the bouquets and Luke drove Karen to the church, cracked open the Champagne after the ceremony and transported the newlyweds to Hornington Manor. Don't you just love weddings which are full of fun, when there's lots of laughter, and when the bride's radiant smile never leaves her beautiful face?  Weddings like these are an absolute joy to be a part of and this was certainly how we felt about Karen and Jamie's day.   The girls got ready at the venue and Karen had carefully planned everything and timed it so that her hair was styled before make-up started and make-up was finished in plenty of time to allow her to get into her dress and for us to capture her proud dad's first look.  In fact, Karen did everything she could to make sure that we could photograph the important bridal preparations with time to spare, before we had to leave to meet Jamie and the lads and start the wedding photography at St Mary's church in Riccall, our first time working at this church but not the first time we had met Reverand Loftus, such a nice man who conducted the marriage of Tor's brother, Ali, to Amelia, the first couple from a circle of family and friends, several of whom have since booked us to photograph their weddings, which has made us very happy indeed. Anyway, back to Karen and Jamie's gorgeous wedding, with a funny, giggly couple, beautiful weather, a venue surrounded by open countryside, a bridal party who were up for a laugh, and Brazilian fire dancers who put on an after dinner show with a difference and who worked closely with us to co-ordinate some beautiful evening photos for Mr and Mrs Bingle.  Oh and did we mention that Jamie used to work in the wedding industry?  That came in really useful as he knew how to plan his own to perfection!  A massive thank you guys for choosing us for your Hornington Manor wedding photography.  We know you had a blast and so did we!
