Wedding Photography at Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel | Jamella and Mark's Wedding

Jamella and Mark found us when they booked their venue and saw an album of some of our wedding photography at Rogerthorpe Manor.  We're so proud to be recommended by the lovely staff at this beautiful venue and it's always a pleasure to capture the celebrations of the couples who choose it.  We started our coverage of Jamella and Mark's wedding, not on the wedding day itself, but the evening before with Mark and his party having haircuts and traditional wet shaves at Karl Smith in Barnsley.  It was an early start the next day and we caught up with the lads as they got suited and booted at their hotel, before we headed off to capture Jamella's preparations.  It was really good to work once again with Andrew and Gail from A & G Productions who travelled some distance to video this gorgeous wedding. With winter weddings you expect it to be cold at best, but after the ceremony the weather was mild enough for everyone to stay outside for family photographs at the church.  It was a massive bonus to be able to get the group photos outdoors with no complaints about the cold or be forced to work inside due to poor weather!  After an impressive volley of confetti at the church gate, we got a head start to Rogerthorpe Manor with only the big group photo left to organise before we could devote some time to the newlyweds and capture some couple and bridal portraits whilst we still had daylight. During a lull between wedding breakfast courses Jamella and Mark nipped into the 1610 bar for a more few pictures and after the speeches we headed outside again for sparkler and evening shots.  We had such a fantastic, fun day with this wonderful, enthusiastic couple. Our sincere thanks for choosing us to be your Rogerthorpe Manor wedding photographers.  You've given us nothing but praise about our work and coming from Mark especially, who works for a professional camera company and knows loads of photographers, you choosing us was a huge compliment!  Congratulations and we wish you every happiness for your future together. 

Oulton Hall | Wedding Photography at Oulton Hall | Diane & Matt's Wedding

We've really enjoyed being Oulton Hall wedding photographers several times this year. It's a venue that has so much to offer that we feel like kids in a candy store whenever we work there, so we were delighted to hear from Diane and Matt when they were looking for someone to provide their Oulton Hall wedding photography.  We are proud to be one of the venue's recommended professionals and what more could you wish for than sharing a beautiful wedding with such a lovely and easy to get along with couple as they celebrated their marriage at this spectacular hotel.  We loved every moment spent capturing Diane and Matt's wedding day, surrounded by their wonderful family and friends who were so nice to be around.  The rich and vibrant autumn colours in the grounds and in the couple's details made for some gorgeous shots and the new Mr and Mrs Holden's down to earth and friendly personalities made their portrait sessions a joy.  We did two couple sessions - one after the group photographs were finished, to make the most of the grounds and pack as much as we could into the daylight hours which are in short supply at this time of year (and yes it was cold so thank you for being such a star Diane and for staying outside!) and a second one after the wedding breakfast when we concentrated on featuring some of the beautiful locations the interior has to offer.  We had a brilliant time creating some stunning bridal portraits for Diane in her amazing Princess dress (and we kept her warm this time!) before everyone headed to the Claret Jug to party the night away.  Many thanks guys for being awesome and incredible fun to work with!

Oulton Hall | Wedding Photography at Oulton Hall | Leanne and Simon's Wedding

Leanne and Simon very kindly booked us for their Oulton Hall wedding photography and we were really happy, as they are a great couple and Oulton Hall is one of our favourite venues.  It has everything you could wish for, from the grounds with lush greenery to the spectacular classical architecture and features of the hall itself, which compliment our style perfectly.  The venue appeals to discerning couples who want a beautiful, elegant location for their wedding and photographs to match. After visiting Leanne's parents' home for bridal preparations, where we were warmly welcomed by Julie and Dave, we headed off to meet Simon and the lads at the church in Ledsham, or rather in the pub where we knew he'd be enjoying a pre-ceremony drink. Simon said that he was really enjoying his groom photo session at the church, which is what we love to hear, as we try to make sure that our photography is relaxed and great fun for our clients.  After Leanne's arrival with her proud mum and dad and a lovely ceremony in this picturesque village church, we made the trip to Oulton Hall just ahead of the couple, ready to meet them at the front for some pictures with the car.  After the nerves which almost every bride has as she walks up the aisle, Leanne was much more relaxed and we had a great time photographing the couple together and creating some beautiful portraits of a very elegant bride in a stunning dress. Daylight is becoming much shorter now we're into autumn and it's that time of year when wedding photographers are mindful of fitting in as much as possible before the wedding breakfast, but with good co-operation from the guests and perfect weather, we had time after the group photos to get a good selection of Oulton Hall wedding photographs outside for Leanne and Simon before it was time for the call in for dinner.  Oulton Hall is one of those venues which has such fabulous locations indoors that we always look forward to the bride and groom's evening photo shoot, which is when we disappear up onto the gallery and staircase.  This allowed Leanne and Simon some quiet time together and us the chance to create some romantic and artistic portraits for them.  They especially wanted photos in the lift and we are delighted with the way the sequence of images worked out, especially when you have just fifteen seconds before lift doors close!  Congratulations Mr and Mrs Jewitt and thank you for booking us.
