Wedding Photography West Yorkshire

Wedding photography Rogerthorpe Manor - Siobhan and Gareth - 24 September 2010

A very busy weekend with our first of three weddings in three days.  As regular wedding photographers at Rogerthorpe Manor, it's always a pleasure to work there.  Siobhan and Gareth's wedding was a small and intimate celebration with only a handful of very close family and friends in attendance.  We started the day in the bridal suite taking photographs of Siobhan's dress which was very special as it had been handmade by her talented sister, Grace.  We met up with Gareth and his best man for some shots around the grounds of the wedding venue, before heading back up to Siobhan who by now was in her dress and almost ready for the wedding ceremony.  As always, the Pontefract registrars did us and the couple proud, allowing us to photograph the civil ceremony.  A cool and breezy day, it did manage to stay dry so that we could work outside and with the number of guests being small, the "big" group shot didn't take too long to set up!  With the group photography done, we had plenty of time left for photographs of the newly married Mr and Mrs Hughes around the lovely grounds of Rogerthorpe Manor before everyone sat down for dinner around one big table in the Rose Room.  With the nights drawing in now, our evening photographs are getting earlier and we timed it so that the light was just perfect for these, and as it was a bit on the chilly side, we decided to set up before we invited Siobhan and Gareth outside for a few minutes to get some gorgeous shots with the venue lit up in the background.  Think it was worth a few goosebumps guys!  A full moon made an appearance too - what a nice bonus!  Thank you for asking us to capture your special day.
