Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel Wedding Photography | Karen & John

We had the pleasure of starting our spring 2016 weddings in the fabulous company of the lovely Karen and John and it was a delight to provide their Rogerthorpe Manor wedding photography on Easter Sunday.   We loved every minute spent with them!  Theirs was a small, intimate wedding with just thirteen people.  From our first meeting we knew we'd have a great time as the couple are so happy and friendly and they were really excited about getting married.  A very relaxed and chilled out Karen got ready in the bridal suite and there were some beautiful details to photograph, including her gorgeous tea length dress. John was in his element when he arrived in a vintage Mustang and for now the weather, although really windy, hung on by a thread, which allowed us to get photographs outside without having the drag the umbrellas out.  The civil ceremony in the Rose Room was funny and emotional and there was hardly a dry eye in the house.  So many people commented on what a lovely couple Karen and John are.  We managed the "big" group photo outside just before the heavens opened and everyone made a run for it.  Photos with the Mustang were a must have, as was a cuddle and a few pictures with the guest of honour, Tag, Karen and John's dog.  Best man Andy got the guests together for the group photo session in the Lawrence Suite and afterwards we managed to grab a few precious minutes outside with the couple, despite the challenging weather, which ranged from blowing a gale, to driving rain, to bright sunshine, to hail stones!  There are some lovely features which have recently been built at the venue which, as Rogerthorpe Manor wedding photographers, we wanted to use in the couple's images and after the wedding breakfast we got the break in the weather we had been hoping for.  Everything came together for us to time it perfectly for twilight photos just before Karen's and John's very impressive Pulp Fiction first dance routine to Chuck Berry's "You Never Can Tell".  This was a wedding packed with fun and laughter and it was a privilege to share.  Congratulations Mr and Mrs Millward, thank you for taking the weather in your stride, for being such a pleasure to work with, and a huge thank you for asking us to capture your amazing day!  Here's a preview of some of our favourite images.
