Victoria and Michael are one of the loveliest couples you could wish to work with as an Oulton Hall wedding photographer and we felt very lucky when they booked us to share their special day. With Victoria's bridal preps at Oulton Hall first, followed by the drive to the picturesque St Peter's Church, Hartshead Moor, where legend has it, Robin Hood cut his final bows from the yew tree in the grounds, to meet Michael and the lads at just after 10am, it was an early start for us and an even earlier one for the girls! Victoria had really taken on board our advice on how to time things so that nothing important was missed and as a result we captured all the pretty bridal details, including a pair of gold Jimmy Choos, documentary photos as the girls opened gifts, a stunning Spanish wedding dress being fastened, and one very proud dad's reactions as he came into the room to see his daughter all ready. It was one of those weddings where everything came together to perfection - decent weather, a gorgeous venue, a friendly vicar, long hours of daylight, a good timeline, happy guests, and most important of all, a joyful couple whose love for one another is obvious and who put their absolute trust in us. There were lots of beautiful memories to capture, including when Michael lifted his bride during their ceremony kiss, the impressive avalanche of confetti, and Victoria's reactions to her dad's speech, especially when he serenaded her and played the guitar. There wasn't a dry eye in the house! After the wedding breakfast and speeches we had plenty of daylight for a few more photographs outside Oulton Hall before we headed indoors and onto the gallery to create some romantic and artistic images of the newly married couple and get a real chance to show off Victoria's spectacular full-length, lace edged veil, which was ditched very shortly afterwards, along with her main wedding dress, in favour of a lightweight dress and a pair of flip-flops for the evening party.
