Wedding Photographers Branston Hall, Lincoln | Rachel and Robert

Although we are Yorkshire wedding photographers, it's well known that we are happy to travel anywhere and this often means that we get to work at new venues, sometimes a long way from our base in Castleford, West Yorkshire.  So a couple of weeks ago we were privileged to be Lincoln wedding photographers for Rachel and Robert and we were very excited at the prospect of capturing their celebrations at St Katherine's Church and Branston Hall

Rachel and her bridesmaids, including her sister, Sarah, got ready at her mum, Angela's beautiful home just a short walk from the church.  Rachel made sure that none of her girls, except Sarah, saw her gorgeous Ian Stuart dress before she was in it and we were able to capture Sarah lacing it before we had to leave to meet the boys.

The weather wasn't great with intermittent bright sunshine and then rain which decided to appear just as we were taking Rob's photographs.  However it did blow over and we managed to continue outside with Rob and his attendants who were a good laugh and who have a crazy sense of humour!

St Katherine's is very special to Rachel and her family and Rachel had spent time putting some beautiful finishing touches to the interior of the church.  The vintage style she had chosen was evident throughout the wedding. We were restricted to taking photographs of the ceremony from the balcony only but this is always better than none at all.  Thank goodness for long lenses!

The couple had asked for a few photographs inside the church after the ceremony and once these were done, they came out into the sunshine to a spectacular shower of confetti, before travelling to Branston Hall on a vintage bus.

After we had completed the important group photos including a few fun ones with the bridal party which Rachel especially wanted, we had to break to photograph the wedding breakfast room and all the details which our bride had lovingly put so much time into. Rainbows were very much in evidence because a romantic Rob had proposed to Rachel under one.  The speeches were hilarious, the highlight of which was a fantastic presentation which had been put together by Rob's best men, resulting in wall to wall laughter and a few tears.

After the speeches had ended, Rachel joined us for a short bridal portrait session before her and Rob's romantic couple shoot including a walk down to the lake.  The light had faded when we arrived back at Branston Hall and it was time for the evening party.

Thank you Mr and Mrs Nicholson for inviting us to be your Branston Hall wedding photographers. If you were lucky enough to be a guest and Rachel and Rob's wedding, please feel free to leave a comment.
