Wedding Photography Hollins Hall | Jane and Samuel

Jane and Sam are lovely couple who chose to tie the knot in St Paul's church in the beautiful, picturesque village of Esholt, close to their reception venue, Hollins Hall in Baildon.  What they hadn't realised when they first booked the church was that Esholt is the village where Emmerdale used to be filmed.  It still attracts lots of tourists even though filming has now moved to a different location.

Jane got ready at the reception venue and as Hollins Hall wedding photographers, we started the day with her and her mum and sister.  If our bride had any feelings of nervousness at all, she certainly didn't show it.  We got some really nice images as she had her make-up applied, some pretty detail shots, her dress being fastened, some beautiful bridal portraits, and some precious moments captured as she received a card and flowers from her husband to be, and her proud dad's reaction as he saw his daughter as a bride for the first time.  We love to capture these once in a lifetime memories for our couples.

We'd arranged to meet the boys outside the Woolpack rather than at the church because such an iconic Yorkshire location just had to be featured in their photographs.  Everyone was waiting for us as we arrived and after the Woolpack shots of Sam and the groomsmen, we moved on to the church.  Jane and Sam had quite a late ceremony with their St Paul's church, Esholt wedding photography starting at 2.30pm and consequently we had to work fast to complete everything we needed to between the end of the ceremony and the start of the wedding breakfast.  The couple knew this and they and their families worked with us and did everything they could to make sure things ran smoothly.

Jane and Sam were lucky enough to have a friendly and accommodating vicar who had no objection to us doing what we do best, capturing the wedding service from two different viewpoints.  The new Mr and Mrs Bottomley-Mason walked out of the church into bright sunshine and made their way down the path to their waiting guests, and into a spectacular hail of confetti, before they jumped into their car and we all made the five minute trip to begin the wedding photography at Hollins Hall.

It was a warm and sunny day, exactly what couples and their guests want for a summer wedding, and everyone enjoyed the drinks reception and canapés, whilst we photographed the family groups on the lawn, completing them quickly thanks to invaluable help from family members, and great co-operation from everyone.

Once the wedding breakfast and speeches were over, the sun had dropped, and we made the most of the last of the daylight for some portraits of the couple before we headed back inside to capture some of the evening celebrations.  Jane threw her bouquet, she and Sam danced their first dance together, a proud father danced with his daughter, and everyone partied.

Thank you so much for booking us to be your West Yorkshire wedding photographers and for being such a pleasure to spend the day with.  We hope you love your images!
